You guys hear the latest? The new Mex government looked internally and found that the US was involved in all of their internal affairs and have stopped it! They don't want US involved in their internal operations, including drug cartel apprehensions.

Interesting that they would take the tac to get US out of their internal affairs when Mexicans think they run ours!!!

I watched CBS evening news last night and they had a piece about how the flow of illegals aliens is surging. In the Rio Grande sector of NM, BP has captured nearly 300% of what their monthly average usually is. They were using their huge garage as processing points because there were 800 people detained in one day. The surge is on!

So very true. But in a word, "politicians". We have a governor that should have quietly issued an Executive Order making all law enforcement in Az participate in the ICE Program 287g program. This would have authorized state LE to check immigrant status, and act as adjunct immigration officers. But instead, Gov Brewer decided to go against the grain and as a result we have an mostly impotent SB 1070. Couple that with a Sheriff who grandstands by arresting illegal employees but seems to give the employers a pass.

As for the state bill that was ironically signed into law by none other than Janet Napalitano when she was governor, it hasn't been enforced because, again it's politics. It has always been more sexy to arrest illegals rather than their employers. However, there was a raid of Chuys restaurants in Az and Ca, and their owners were indicated on various federal crimes. I am encouraged by that at least.
