This is an interesting article that explains how leaders like Barbara Jordan and Coretta Scott King, knew that amnesty was detrimental to the average Black person in America.

Yep. She was my Congresswoman. And I remember reading her speech on Illegal Immigration. The fact she was a Democrat, goes to show how far left of the field the Democrat Party has gone. She was a Left/Center of the political divide, and 20 years ago, that was the base of the Democrat Party.

Today, the Democrat Party has gone so far left, their base are:

Gays/Lesbians
Illegal Aliens
Far-Left White Liberals
Black Women

It's more of a Fringe Party with some left/center agendas but more far-left ideology than a Party for all of America. This is why I left the Democrat Party. I'll vote issues I feel is paramount to Black Americans but never be total aligned with the Democrat Party again.

The Party has lost its' moral capacity and became too tolerance.

Barbara Jordan was a great woman. This constant aligning of Black-Brown issues just causes further decline in wages for the average Black person. And you would have never seen Barbara Jordan align herself with the illegal aliens in Arizona.

I am glad there was a delay in the amnesty.

I hope they do not immediately work on passing an amnesty law after the November elections, and the politicians feel "safe".

No body has been screwed over more by the influx of illegal cheap labor than the young black male. The unemployment statistics will prove it. Once latinos take over a job only latinos will be hired because of the LANGUAGE barrier. Next time you see a construction crew by the road tell me how many blacks are among the latinos.

With 34 million aliens, or literally a population large enough to be the second most populous state, after California, who is going to be screwed out of jobs? This is way beyond the amnesty we thought was coming.
