Do you come here to criticize those who have difference in opinion or do you come to focus on the issue/article/topic?

Ok so lets talk I have no problem with that that was a response to somebody being critical and rude what I have read is that the government will take 6 months to debate then most likely the reform will pass at the end of year do we need to close our borders yes a lot of drugs coming in we need to make the application and fees reasonable for immigrants so they can come here legal and do background checks and let the good people stay those who have violent crimes deport there are a lot of good illegal people here if we would just give them a chance

We are in this predicament because our government has failed it's people. Amnesty has been given before and the outcome is 11 million plus illegals in this country. If our government gives amnesty to this invaders things will only get worse. Shame on Obama and all the other politicians that support illegal immigration.
1986 do not have enough tecnology to do amnesty, and they did, and now for sure many things will be fixed, take a look at US visas, more security in the world.

that is the theme of la raza. have you listened/looked at the la raza youtube video?

if not, you should. it will explain the insanity being pushed by the latinos. yeah. it sounds unreal. some would say it is racist to think this way. how can a majority of latiinos think this way?

now, and then, these sort of scenarios do happen. recall the nazis, the stalin years, the mao years, and now we have the latinos pushing this rhetoric.

and you can tell that it is happening because they pretty much all voted democrat. need I say more?

it's like what is happening with the muslims. they are pretty much all in agreement... they want their caliph muslim empire to rule again.

From their pay checks that's where the taxes gets taken out they do benefit a little from not paying so much tax on the house I will give you that as far as the kids they are USA citizens why not let them go to school but if you want how about this. They pay no tax at all pay 1000 per kid for year no benefits I would go for that maybe we could the kids to work too after they get out of school. To help for their schooling
Most who work off the books get paid in cash...and they aren't having taxes taken out.
In the meantime, it is property taxes that pay for schools...and if you own a house, you pay the taxes, whether you have children in those schools or not, whether you can deduct dependents from your taxes or not.
We have grade schools here that have 60% to 70% hispanic children. Most are on the breakfast and lunch programs, the schools have health and dental clinics, which several times a year also let parents come in for check-ups.
All of this is paid by local property taxes, something which few illegal aliens are paying, yet our property taxes have nearly doubled since we bought our house and are about to go up again. My husband and I will not be able to afford to retire here, even when our home is paid off, largely because of the damned property tax. Most people we know who have reached retirement find they have to leave the state or live on a tight shoestring budget so they can pay anywhere from $750 to $1400 a month in property tax.
You can parse this all you like, but it is working Americans who are stuck with the bill for millions of people who are here illegally. If the government had to foot the whole cost, this problem would have been addressed a long time ago.

The millions who snuck across the border don't have fingerprints or any kind of ID on file. And who's going to foot the bill for all those scanners and technology, and how much will it cost to create, operate and maintain such a system?

Minorities are not a single group. They are several different groups, who are letting both our government and people like yourself encourage their difference and seperateness from everyone else. Different groups, celebrating different languages, different cultures and all nursing stereotypes of other groups, resentment and hostilities and all accusing one another of bigotry and racism.

Most Americans believe that the history of the United States began at Plymouth Rock in 1620. But our history text books fail to tell us that when the Pilgrims were struggling to maintain their tiny colony, Spanish towns were already growing and flourishing in Florida, the Southwest and Puerto Rico.
Historians have generally ignored the fact that the first European settlement in North America was San Miguel de Gualdape, founded in Georgia in 1526, 81 years before Jamestown, which was settled in 1607.

Anyone with the slightest grasp of history knows all about it. So what?
Spain was one of Europes major powers and did the exact same thing as France, Portugal and England did. Sent their ships and sailors out into the great blue yonder looking for land and treasure, exploiting and eliminating those who got in their way. All wanting to be the world power. They were invaders, just like the other Europeans were. And Vikings were here long before any other Europeans. What's your point?

True, but the US never highlights that type of history. It would be un-Anglo of them to do so.

I do hate to break this to you, but I'm (mostly) anglo and I know about it.
Of course, I'm just old enough to have gone to school back when schools taught history. Today, they barely teach American history, never mind world history.
That's not an anglo thing, it's a government thing. No one person has ever made a difference, don't you know?
All the American natives were peaceful, tree hugging pacifists. They did not ever fight over territory with eachother, engage in warfare, slavery, inhumane torture of their captives or take scalps as trophies...at least not until the anglos got here and never, ever did they start a fight.
As far as Britain, France, Portugal and Spain go, only the Brits were evil, greedy invaders. Spain never hurt anyone in their quest for treasure and power, nor did they need that treasure in their quest to be Europe's greatest power. Nope. They decended on the Americas to spread peace, joy and benevolence, wanting nothing in return and left it exactly how they found it.
And one of the greatest powers in Europe...the Vatican, didn't want anything as they tried to spread their power around, as well. They worked with Spain to spread their faith purely for enlightenment. It had nothing to do with the shrinking Catholic population (and power) throughout western Europe.
So...it's anglos who don't want to teach history, is it?
