Great point.
These Neanderthals have no clue about World History,

It would hurt if that was the truth but it isn't. If the U.S happens to become predominantly Hispanic in the near future, there will be change but it does not mean we will turn into Mexico. You just prove my point even further.

You're just another scared anti-Hispanic bigot who's adopted all the fabricated rhetoric and propaganda there is to offer. There's a utube video for every manufactured agenda out there Cricket and it appears you've become it's champion. To believe a lie makes you a fool, two spread it, twice the fool.

My ancestors went through Ellis Island, they went through health screenings, criminal background checks, and they had sponsors who would vouch for them. My ancestors didn't depend on the Feds to feed their kids, they did that on their own. They LEARNED HOW to speak enough English and to learn enough important information about this country to be able to pass a naturaliation test...they wanted to be Americans, not to take from Americans...a big difference from who is sneaking in these days. They contributed their hard-earned to their new communities and paid taxes. Their kids fought in several world wars... fighting proudly for our freedoms, so that posters like you could spew your racist nonsense. Learn the difference between legal and illegal immigrants. It is no secret that we do not agree on many levels, but we can be in the same thread without shooting daggers at each other. To me, that is the most important thing, being able to post our opinions or findings and not be denigrated or lambasted. Thanks, X. Divisivenss is already pulling this country to shreds, we have to find a middle ground and be able to listen to each other, even if we never reach an accord, we can be civil to each other, and that is an important outcome in and of itself.
Teddy, you're much different than many of these others. I know you are passionately against illegal immigration but you seem to focus the majority of your efforts on the legalities of the issue and refrain from berating any one group as a whole. This issue is not about all Mexicans or any other singular group.

You and I have maintained a mutual respect. I've never felt that your motivations were based on prejudices. I cannot say this for the majority of posters on these threads.

Racist . For Enforcing the Laws
January 27, 2012 By Guest Opinion 9 Comments
Most of these people don't even have the right to be present in this
country, much less to work. And one cannot hire them even for a day without
breaking the law. And yet day laborers of League City, Texas, apparently
feel so emboldened and sure of their future that they are suing Texas Gov.
Rick Perry and the city police department, alleging that it is not them, but
the authorities who are breaking the law.
According to a very empathetic report by Univision, the Spanish-language TV
network, the laborers used to congregate at a League City parking lot where
entrepreneurs willing to take advantage of cheap illegal labor used to pick
them up. Police have apparently disrupted this hush-hush black market, but,
in doing so, have incurred the wrath not only of the laborers, but also of
the Mexican American Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF), which bills
itself as a law firm for the Latino community.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court last year, alleges discrimination and
violation of the laborers' Constitutional rights. No word, of course, about
the plaintiffs' legal status in this country. "In this case, it is very
important to know that everybody has a right to work," Marisa Bono, the lead
attorney for MALDEF, told Univision in Spanish. Really? Even those who
sneaked across the border illegally?
"In public places, an individual can ask for money for his or her church,
and an individual can ask for work," Ms. Bono went on to say. "And this is
part of our rights under the Constitution." And if an individual does not
have a right even to be in this country? Univision, of course, conveniently
avoided this prickly question, and so did Ms. Bono.
But when asked if racism was the driving force behind police actions, she
answered, as expected, with a resounding "Yes."

Cricket, you can spam these utube videos all day long but each one will not represent the truth about an entire group as a whole. That is the entire basis of bigotry.

You're trying to create fear and animosity towards Mexicans for the actions of a few on a utube video.

Teddy, had there been programs like welfare in those years immigrants would have taken advantage of them.

If we shared a border with Ireland then we would have seen immigration in large numbers, legal or illegal. There is no difference in the peoples between now and then, just different circumstances.

You made it about all Hispanics when you accused another U.S citizen of being "Mexican", "illegal", etc etc, just because she didn't agree with you.

The second things didn't go your way your real prejudices came out didn't they?

I know you always speak your mind, the problem is that your mind if filled with ignorance, "dummard". lol

I think the assimilation factor is definitely different. X, I am telling you I have seen scores of kindergarteners, born in this country, enter school unable to speak a word of English. Because their parents chose not to learn much if any, these kids start off behind their peers. When some are able to reasonably catch up, they are having to translate for their parents. Their parents don't even understand that they have a stake in their kids' educations, and make the effort don't act on it. I don't know for sure if they would have, some of my people were definitely pretty proud and wouldn't have wanted to admit they hadn't been able to take care of their own.

I helped teach some Italians fresh off the boat, so to speak learn Englsih right after they got here...they wanted to be Americans, and the first thing that had to do was learn the language. One of the fellows I tutored back in the day, went on to college. He speaks as well as if he were born here, as do his brothers and sisters. We make it too easy for illegals.

There will always be growing pains when dealing with new immigrants, especially those who's parents speak different languages. I have two teachers in my immediate family so I've heard all the stories. This is not isolated behavior. There are many English speaking American born citizens that take little to no interest in their children's education.

There are many Mexicans that feel the same way. Not all Mexicans or ethnic illegals are on assistance Teddy. My point was that had there been these programs in the past many immigrants would have taken advantage of them. There will always be examples of more motivated, more capable people within the group.

What does this prove? There are success stories like these for every ethnicity. People are people Teddy. Poverty is poverty.

To Xman, Teddyr4me, and Richard Guerra..

Keep posting your thoughts that prove to other users that you are above their mindless rantings. I'm officially tired of some of the people on these forums and with my job and preparing for college I just don't have time for the nonsense. Thank all of you for being accepting of other posters who believe in respect even though at some point our beliefs may have not been the same.

To Juan (and other Mexicans ..since I haven't heard from many other races on here)

Keep your head high and be proud of who you are..not of your wrongdoings. Be proud that you work hard, but not that you do so illegally. Providing for your family is important, but you also need to work hard in becoming a citizen. It is important. Teach your children that doing the right thing is something to be proud about.

To the Rude and obnoxious people who curse every post..

Adios

Cussing them out makes them believe they have the power to really mess with your head. Good luck in life :)

People of America and in this forum, of all races, no matter what country you legally immigrated from, you are welcome with open arms in the USA. It is idiots such as mexica who is not welcomed here, his anti-American evilness is evident in his postings, and his racial hatred is also evident in his postings.
Let it be known that mexica, is a racist anti-American virus attempting to spread his bullshit into these forums.
Mexica is in love with Cain Velasquez Ramirez (born July 28, 1982) who is a Mexican mixed martial artist is fighting in the Ultimate Fighting Championship who crossed our border illegally with his mother, and is affiliated with the Brown Power gang of Mexicans who are criminals. Mexica continues to make reference to this cage fighter in his posts as is there is any significance level to his plight!
Anything and everything mexica posts here is misleading with great probability of being false or geared at degrading all of you whom speak up in defense to his Mexican lies!

You should reject anything he posts here because at a significance level of 2% or less chance of any truth to his postings, we know to be confident enough that his claims are not genuine. His hypothesis is set in the direction of terrorism, especially as a means of coercion and especially for political purposes to preach anti-American propaganda at us all; which is a common behavior of the Mexican terrorist group he is affiliated with.

Mexica should be in custody as a foreign national on suspicion of helping to plot a possible terrorist act here in the USA. I am convinced he is a Mexican drug dealer. Doesn’t matter if he is here legally or illegally his mentally deranged actions won’t be tolerated here!
