It is amusing to look at the perception of the different lessons learned.
The democrats thought they taught those nasty republicans a lesson.
The republicans learned using the shutdown as a threat against spending was a bad idea.
The tea party movement learned that the repubs in charge don't understand that bluffs don't work unless you are willing to carry through with your principals.
Obama's contemptuous use of the word teabagger will do nothing but fan the flames of hate and if more of those "teabagging fools" show up in the house and they get a new speaker because of it don't expect the next budget fight to end the same way. Obama forgets that other politicians are egotistical narcissist just like him and they might just shoot the foot just for spite.
Stupid bagger nut. You ignorant morons hung that name on yourselves.

As for the tea party being thrown out. Who cares? They are not worth voting for if they don't stand up for their beliefs anyway. Playing this slow death game is stupid. Eventually if no more conservative people are elected, we will end up with the type of people that were in power in nazi germany and the soviet union and others. All of the laws are ready.
No, with you everything is drivel and gibberish.

We shouldn't care about monuments (after all they can be visited today and tomorrow) but we should care that the teabags and their reckless behavior in the shutdown has caused a whole bunch of folks to "care" - even if they were not personally effected.
You guys like your faux scandals, but this is a scandal that has caused 24 billion dollars worth of damage and - more importantly - hurt a whole bunch of folks.
It is not about monuments it is about the veterans who were trying to visit them. All Obmam had to do was nothing, leave those guys alone. but he wanted to do anything the administration could do to make it worse. Obviously we need more tea party backed candidates

Right...

In this universe, Russia has agree to take away WMDs which they insisted didn't exist last year from the allies and it didn't cost Obama a nickle.

What is the color of the sky in your continuum?

Putin humiliated Obama.

He has also humiliated Obama, who started out saying there would be serious consequences if Snowden wasn’t returned.

When it became obvious Russia wasn’t giving him back, Obama was forced to dismiss Snowden as a 29 year old hacker too insignificant to bother with.

Every time the US and Russian president have met Putin has lectured Obama on something - on privacy, treason, Syria, Iran, even radical Islam.

Putin loves humiliating Obama and pushing back against American policies. Because he knows he can get away with it.

Can you imagine Putin trying to do the same to Reagan?

Funny how it is Putin that is rounding up WMDs from his allies and not the other way around.

Reagan gave hardware and intelligence to Saddam Hussein even though Reagan knew Hussein was gassing his own citizens.

So clearly: Reagan would have asked Putin if Assad needed any more nerve gas.

Or cocaine, since Reagan had a connection in the White House- Ollie North- who was holding.

Non-exempt employees were laid off AS REQUIRED by previous Congressional actions when they shut down the government in the 90s.

All Boner had to do was put up a clean CR any time- a month before shutting down the government or for two weeks after.

It would have taken a couple hours.

He has played his hand and his pair of deuces has left the GOP with 28 percent approval rating.
