don't Try to tap dance your way out of this one, you pro-amnesty morons know that this issue had absolutely nothing to do with obamas victory but yet you Try so hard to scare republicans into thinking it did, pathetic

The picture becomes clearer and clearer.
Your statement shows your stupidity!!! I work in a major metro school district. We literally pour billions into ell classes so that your kids can speak English and communicate with the rest of them. What happens is that mexican kids run together in bunches, speaking spanish after their good ell classes, and refuse to assimilate. This is encouraged by their non English speaking parents who live in a non English speaking community that tries to continue as though still in mexico.

You seem to think that public schools bear the brunt of this. I say not!!! Where is YOUR responsibility in all of this? You are just like all of the rest of your homies, you create a problem and expect us to solve it! Problems like bringing you and your "kids" to America and then when faced with deportation, you cry, "They are breaking up families..." Hell no! YOU are breaking up you families when you made the decision.
Go back to where you came from, things just aren't working out!

Then what will you do?!!! I understand that mexican kids who are deported with their parents are having a hard time getting use to not having free breakfast/lunch/snacks at school.
What are you going to do about health care? Remember, your people come lumbering over here and go to our emergency rooms or stake out in intensive care for years under the theat of lawsuits.
What are you going to do about law enforcement that currently favors illegal aliens, but at least keep Americans safe?

Ya see, when you really think about it, no more usa means no more you as well! You didn't come from a society that promotes fairness, equity, etc., so all you will get is more of the same crap that you thought you left behind.

One more thing, mexicans seem to think it is just them and white people. Welll, surprise, the rest of us want you gone as well...

Whatís whacked in this article is PEW lumped the Hispanics with the Asians Medium income and thatís why this article becomes FALSE if you put it in context?
Historically Asians have the highest gradation rates and highest Medium income of all races and thatís why this article Is an agenda publication and so out of context. Gee does that change the bowling score averages
The article did not say it was about "Hispanic" or "Mexican" immigrants, it said it was about immigrants. Hence, there was nothing misleading about the study.

I should also mention that Asians represent a rather small percentage of the immigrant population in this country. Hence, while they may have higher incomes, they have a fairly low effect on the median wage numbers because they represent a small portion of the immigrant population.

Obviously, immigrants are, on average, going to make less money than native born people, because they face hurdles that people born here do not, even if they are well educated (a Chinese engineer is going to make less than a similarly talented American engineer, because he simply will not have the same communication skills- and that matters, even in technical fields).

Many immigrants, of course, are not college educated (and that refers to a lot more than just "Mexicans"- we take in lots of refugee immigrants from places like Ethiopia, Bosnia, Sudan, and many other war torn areas- and most of them are not well educated).

But frankly, neither were Italian and Eastern European immigrants in the '20s and '30s.

Nor were Irish immigrants in the 19th century.

I always find it amusing when some blow hard Irish-American carries on about how the dirty, ignorant, lazy, uneducated Mexicans should be tossed out of the country, when that is the exact same thing native born Americans said about their ancestors.

I come from "peasant" Eastern European and Irish stock (as I'll bet many of you did as well). My ancestors were working class and treated as inferiors by the "real 'Murricans" of their day.

It was wrong then, and it's wrong now. If people want to come here and work hard and better themselves, I say let them. We simply need to come up with a rational program to allow them to come here and work. Opening the flood gates isn't a good system, but neither is putting up a wall.

Work hard by whose standards? Currently, people have been brainwashed to believe that the illegal alien mexican works harder than Americans, when in fact they don't, they just accept lower wages for the same work expectations.

People coming here merely to better themselves is both selfish, short-sighted and shallow! EVERYONE wants to better themselves, at least most, so what's so special about that? Is your logic a person who wants to better themselves is a good honest and true person even though they couldn't make a go of it where they came from?!!! Amazing. Also, by bettering themselves they take the easy way out! In other words, go to any country to better yourself by working for lower wages, living unlawfully. Oh, and demand your rights, and right to have our laws change because you don't get what you want fast enough!

P.S., What's wrong with building a wall?!!! Mexico has built one! You brainwashed sheeple!!! Oh, let's beef up border security, but let's be gentle.... Don't want to offend!

I live in South Texas, an area that has a large number of (alleged) illegals.
I KNOW these (alleged) illegals work their asses off. They consistently show up on time (or even early, which can be somewhat annoying) and work from sun up to sun down. They don't take long lunch breaks, they don't demand breaks every couple of hours like Americans so often do. They don't make waves.
Maybe it's because they fear being turned in. Maybe it's because they fear losing their jobs (they can't fall back on welfare like Americans can).
They work hard because their families depend on it and they have nothing to fall back on. They work the way Americans probably used to work, before the introduction of the welfare state.
Just my observations from seeing these (alleged) illegals working over the past couple of decades.

And so do cow, mules and donkeys!!!! Once again, they ALLOW people to treat them like animals, not human beings!!!

You have fallen into the same trap that they try to brain wash us with! Just because a Mexican will work under any circumstances, unsafe, unhealthy, etc., you equate that with being a better worker! No so! It's a stupid worker who will always be treated the same way he was treated in his home country because he is not use to better and doesn't expect it. American workers have worked hard to bring working standards to humane levels like child worker laws, 5 day work week, etc. Businesses have brained washed you into thinking you are being coddled, when in fact, you are being treated as a human being.

Watch! The first thing these guys will do if ever they become legal is to demand fair wages and improved working conditions...some have even started doing this now!!!

There is nothing wrong with the American worker!!!

If I'm paying the guy to do a job, I want him to arrive ON TIME and WORK, not chat on his cell phone, take long lunches, take breaks, and go home early- which is the kind of stuff you get all too often from "hard working" Americans.

Yes, some Americans are hard workers, but far too many are NOT. So if I hire a contractor, and he hires a crew that have brown skin and don't speak English and might be illegal (how would I know?), I don't mind- because those are the guys who are likely to work their butts off.

If the contractor shows up with a bunch of obviously American teenagers, I cringe...

Why don't you move your company to Mexico where you will have a whole country of these hard workers...NOT!!! Sorry about your experiences with American workers. I am an American who has worked hard all of my life. I have worked in offices and haven't observed the behavior you describe en mass.

I have visited MANY foreign countries, third world, and have observed it...I guess that is why they are third world. According to you, everything changes when they come here. If they are so industrious and wonderful people, why does garbage, trash, graffitti, broken window blinds, cars on lawns, deterioating neighborhoods associated with the same people you admire? It seems to me that if they are so great, they would take pride in themselves and where they live. Oh, these same wonderful people belly up at school cafeterias to eat off of the trays of their children's free lunch/breakfast...and little ones running around with free bagel/toast.

It's not for my company.

My company hires American workers (me)- because it is highly specialized work that uneducated immigrants can't do.

I'm talking about people I hire (through contractors) to do work at my home- everything from painting to installing tile to landscaping. I've just found the (alleged) illegals to be harder working and more reliable, on average.

I'm not from here. I came from up North and had the same prejudices most Americans do- I had always heard about "lazy" Mexicans. But when I got here, I found out that the "lazy Mexican" term was not only wrong, it was 180 degrees wrong. Those guys work their butts off.

You are focused on people who "work their butts off..." for the low wages you pay them, but not for their skills and expertise, and certainly not experience! One of the problems that is never spoken about is the quality of the work! I am aware of American carpenters who have worked and qualified for certain levels of carpentry, yet you will hire a truck load of alleged illegal aliens, nevermind the quality or even if it is adhering to code standards.

A friend of mine, over my known objections, hired illegal aliens to build a fence. Yes, they built it, and built it for a much lower price. That was in September! She has to put bricks around some of the edges of her new fence because of gaping areas. A licensed contractor would not have done that!!!

Bigger news is that Illegal Aliens are far far less interested in assimilating into the American Culture than Legal Aliens. The Votes of Illegals given Citizenshp are weapons which the Left can use against America. That is the reason POTUS is so committed to deluding the value of the citizenship of those who PLAY BY THE RULES.

Sure. The Mexicans should have had a revolution in Mexico a long, long time ago. They are not smart enough to do it so they come here because it is easier and then the liberals taught them how to bash white people, how to guilt trip them and threaten them by calling them racists in order to get everything out of them.

There are more countries that people are born in where the people want to leave than there are countries people are born in where they don't want to leave. Look at Europe. The European countries get people from Middle Eastern countries, from African countries and Germany is loaded with people from Turkey. A lot of the South American countries have people who want to move to the white countries too. It's not like the Mexicans are doing some big thing to walk across the border. And they can afford to work for low wages because they use someone else's social security number so they can go to the welfare department and say they are not working and the welfare department has no way to find out they are working, and they get welfare benefits for their kids that are born here.

And, I'm starting to see this too that they don't work so hard. We have ALL Mexicans working on the property where I live. There's like 30 or so of them, the gardeners, all the maintenance guys, the cleaning ladies. And, people complain the work out room is so dirty, the cleaning ladies are fat and move really slowly, and the maintenance guys really don't know how to fix anything. They are nice enough, and what bothers me is you don't see any white men working and I see so many white men on disability. So yeah the Mexicans at least work whereas today a lot of white men no longer work. It's something like 40 percent of white men aged 50 to 60 that no longer work. But no, the Mexicans don't work so hard. They all stand around out there talking to each other and I have never seen the cleaning ladies working.

And now the politicians want to bring all of these educated immigrants who have money into the U.S. to keep the country going. So here they let tens of millions of Mexicans come here and now they are as much as admitting that they are not able to contribute nor to carry the country financially nor educationally. Now they want to bring all of these people here and give them citizenship if they start a business and buy a home.

I saw Bill Clinton say several times that we lost out on 5 million jobs we were offered in computer science and in engineering due to our people not going to college. So now we have all of these high school dropouts due to the illegals having come from Mexico and we also have this huge baby boomer generation retiring that is dependent on the younger workers to fund Social Security and Medicare in order for them to receive SS and Medicare. Well, the majority of Mexicans don't make enough to pay income taxes, if they make low wages they pay very little into SS and Medicare and they use up a lot more tax money on the schools and on the welfare programs than they pay in taxes. I do not see any way that the baby boomers are going to be able to get SS and Medicare. Instead of having 30 people paying in for one person on those programs, we will soon have 2 people paying in for one person on the programs, AND at the same time we also have a huge Mexican population of high school dropouts on welfare programs and many in the prisions too, all costing tons of tax money. It's a joke that welfare and the entitlements won't collapse from lack of tax money.

The Mexicans don't realize that there are not enough educated whites to carry the welfare for them. If there were, the politicians would not be bringing people here from other countries to start businesses. And who can say if people will want to come here with the debt we have and with the problems with the Mexicans.

Yup. The Mexican maintenance guys have come in my apartment three different times to replace a rubber ring (a washer) in the kitchen faucet. Anyone can do that. I could do it. They could not even do that. So finally, after three tries over six months, they had to replace the entire faucet because they broke the bolt under the sink and the whole thing was lose and broken. If they can't even replace a .5 cent rubber ring on a water faucet they are not really maintenance guys. And they have lots of kids so no matter they have a job, they still are considered low income due to having large families, so they get food stamps and medicaid and who knows what else even though they have a job, so it is NO benefit financially to the state, it's a big tax drain on the state.

You're right they don't work so good hard workers as the panderers/advocates preach all the time.
The sad part as you stated, are the American men out of work.
These men have had no choice but to apply for Social Security, welfare and other social services in order to survive.
This is what bothers me the most. These men have worked hard, all their lives and now find themselves with no work because illegals are here and are working for cheap.
I could see where we are heading and it does not look good.
There is only so much revenue and jobs to go around.
The cost of supporting these illegal Immigrants/and their children,be it welfare and holding down these jobs(poor quality work) is massive and unsustainable.
