Senators in a bipartisan group crafting a comprehensive immigration bill say they're not sure if they can meet a self-imposed March deadline but they're optimistic about a deal soon.

It's not reform, it's amnesty and it won't happen. Americans don't want a amnesty, they want enforcement, lack of enforcement got us here where we are now.

I wouldn't start jumping up and down illegals. The qualifications might be very difficult for average illegal. Dreamers with degrees and high tech educations will be allowed to apply. But migrants with no formal educations will probably be given work permit's and and possibly a path to green card status only. These Senators know it's unsustainable to give amnesty to many of the third world poor and most won't qualify nor do they wish to become American anyway. I wouldn't count on it being a sure bet.... This isn't racism. It's a long hard look at the problem and the fix. It's not going to change that much and illegals will still live here under the radar.
