Anchorman charged with DUI

St. Petersburg Times

A Miami television anchorman has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol in a December accident in which police say he left the scene after hitting a man and returned later.

Rick Sanchez, anchor for WSVN, was charged Friday with one count of DUI, a first-degree misdemeanor in the Dec. 10 accident outside Joe Robbie Stadium, prosecutor Kathleen Hoague said.

If convicted, Sanchez faces a maximum of six months in prison and a $500 fine.
A blood test showed Sanchez had a blood-alcohol level that night of .15 percent. A person with a .10 level is considered legally drunk in Florida.

The man Sanchez hit was critically injured and remains in a coma at North Shore Hospital.

Ms. Hoague said Friday that she thinks Sanchez was driving drunk at the time of the accident, but prosecutors decided not to charge him with causing bodily injury while driving drunk, a third-degree felony.

After the accident, Sanchez, 32, drove home to retrieve his driver's license and insurance card.

"Below are some more researched articles. It appears that they had it swept under the rug while poor Jeffery died after being in a coma. It appears that Rick Sanchez is heartless and treated this guy and his family like dirt. It makes sense he supports illegal immigration...The scary thing is that since he had such media access he was allowed to constantly plead his case and shape public opinion, ham it up, pretend to be sad etc. While this guy Jeffery had NOTHING, no voice spoke for him. He dies, Rick drinks away. But the even scarier thing about all of this really was that they didn't charge him with anything at the scene as he told cops it would ruin his career..."

Television anchorman Rick Sanchez was driving drunk on the mid-December night his car struck and critically injured a man who darted into a road outside Joe Robbie Stadium, blood test results show. Sanchez had a blood alcohol level of 0.15 percent. In Florida, a driver with a blood alcohol level of 0.10 is considered intoxicated. TV ANCHOR TO PLEAD NO CONTEST TO DUI

Source: DON VAN NATTA Jr. Herald Staff Writer
Television anchorman Rick Sanchez will plead no contest Thursday to a drunk driving charge, saying he wants to avoid a DUI trial that his TV news competitors would turn into a "three- ring circus." Sanchez, the 33-year-old, top-rated anchorman for WSVN- Channel 7, told The Herald Tuesday that he will enter the plea to avoid a jail sentence for driving while intoxicated on Dec. 10 after leaving Joe Robbie Stadium following a Miami Dolphins football game. That night,...

Re: this Clip from Bren's post
As an American citizen I have serious questions. They are claiming these streets as theirs. That is an aggressive act a declaration of war. Why are they not arrested? Why are these people allowed to cover their faces and curse in our streets?

Will Rick cover this anger? Or did he just focus on anger to belittle the vet he had on his show?

This was at a United States Post Office. I wish law could be looked into on that. What right does anyone have on Federal property to remove or place anything on a flagpole? I do not know just asking.

The video Aztlan has percentage of babies born ... it is a plan here is a video right from the Aztlan site: We pay for their babies

Anchor Baby Power
La Voz de Aztlan has produced a video in honor of the millions of babies that have been born as US citizens to Mexican undocumented parents. These babies are destined to transform America. The nativist CNN reporter Lou Dobbs estimates that there are over 200,000 "Anchor Babies" born every year whereas George Putnam, a radio reporter, says the figure is closer to 300,000. La Voz de Aztlan believes that the number is approximately 500,000 "Anchor Babies" born every year.
The video below depicts the many faces of the "Anchor Baby Generation". The video includes a fascinating segment showing a group of elementary school children in Santa Ana, California confronting the Minutemen vigilantes. The video ends with a now famous statement by Professor Jose Angel Gutierrez of the University of Texas at Austin.

Aztlan Rising should be shown to all our friends, loved ones and neighbors. This is the best quality I have seen. Thank you Bren. Not hearing them scream allows the focus to be on their signs and the clear message they send.

Emails are going out with this link to my senators and reps in D.C. and the state.

Out of gated communities there is a plan. Pay Attention and be warned.

Besides having been involved in a DUI, Rick Sanchez was known to have been a good friend of an infamous Miami criminal back in the 70's or 80's. CNN would do well in finding out more about Sanchez' background before allowing him to hold such an important position as anchor.

I can't take this guy Sanchez, he really thinks we are stupid. Everything Sanchez shows in his program is intended to make us feel sorry for those law breakers. He showed that fish factory, and said that those people have to work in freezing temperatures. A friend of mine, 4 generations American owns a small restaurant, and he has to be in front of a grill all day long, in a kitchen more than 100 degrees. Who says that it is easy to make a living, or that we get pay for doing nothing? People who work in offices have to wear a jacket in the summer at work, because the offices are freezing. He said that the workers in that fish factory make $60.00 a day, and if I understood correctly, if the production is finished, it could be half day work for the same $60.00 that is not the minimum salary.
I did contac CNN Betsy, I hope a lot of people do.
I did. Wait until Lou Dobbs feels better. Let's see old Rick go up against him.

This is what pro-illegal people such as Sanchez do all the time, they just show what it is convenient for them to show. They think that we are idiots, and don't know what is going on with the illegal in these country.
And the people like you on the other side do not do that, right? You are completely objective and you talk not only about the bad but also about the good, right? yeah, right...

Will Rick parade the 'cause celeb's' latest? A father here illegally, who's son died in Iraq. The man was on TV last night. He has come back into the United States twice after being deported. He states he will do it again. No one will keep him from his family. I forget how many years he has been here, he did not speak English but spoke through you guessed it...

Damn, how did anything get done in this country before the illegals came along and did the the jobs Americans did not want? Oh thats right Americans did those jobs. All that construction work and landscaping or just hard work never could have been done without them. BS Highschool kids cant get a job in fast food, taken. A hard working drywaller cant get a job, taken. Taken by illegal aliens working for below market wages. Shacking up 3 families to an apt. and sucking this country dry.
Bust the employers balls and fine his ass a hole in the ground and start rounding up every illegal and toss their ass out of the country.
Now that would be a nice start hey

I tried to get our congress woman to spend one week going into as many Emergency rooms and urgent care centers as she could in a week and see what her views are on health care, illegal immigration. It's a crime and we are all paying for it with taxes and now the Dems want to give everyone health care!!! If we would enforce the law and being here illegally does not give you the rights to free health care, insurance rates would go down faster than the price of lettuce would go up.
