I suppose is a bit one and the other. I honestly do not see CNN and for that matter, neither Mexican or any other News program. I don't want to sound pedantic, but I really think that I am beyond that. Seeing news programs would help you to understand how public opinion is formed, but honestly, most of what you see in News programs is an "engeneering" of public opinion, most of the time totally oriented to sell a point of view and not to provide "information" to the public.
I inform myself in the catacombs of Internet. XD
I really don't know. But CNN Mexico has to compete with Mexican Media (e.g. Televisa, TV Azteca) and then also alternative media (e.g. "El Sendero del Peje", etc.). I have always considered the US and Mexican populations as superbly bad "informed". But when you go to the sites of media in Spanish (e.g. EL PAIS) you see more than a fair share of Mexicans participating.
I think is strange that not many Mexicans participate in forums like this, when a lot of Americans participate? Well, sometimes in the former weeks I have proposed myself never to return here to Topix Mexico Forum. You have to admit that with people like Badtothebone, you have to have an excepcionally thick skin to participate here as a beaner. In fact, as as far as I know Eduardo and I are the only Mexicans that participate currently here. And I guess that our points of view look pretty allien and strange... don't they?
However, this is an American forum for talking about Mexico,...
(but I don't think that, so far, I unproperly add my ingredients to the salat.)
Without pretending to be offensive, I think that is undeniable that generally, Mexicans and American are hardwired very differently. I however think that that should not be reason why we could not cooperate well in the realm of Reality, and I think that current trends point well in that direction.
I'm famous, my name was mentioned in your article!
