In a new ploy to push backdoor amnesty, the Obama administration is quietly working to curb the deportation of illegal immigrants by granting "unlawful presence waivers," for which to qualify, an illegal immigrant must be a relative of an American citizen.

Under current procedures, such illegal aliens must leave the country and request waivers of inadmissibility while undergoing the overseas immigration visa process, "often causing U.S. citizens to be separated for extended periods from their immediate relatives who are otherwise eligible for an immigrant visa and admission for lawful permanent residence," according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

In short, they must legally enter the United States, just as thousands of other immigrants do every year.

Here's another article on it.

Obama will grant waivers to parents (and other relatives) of anchor babies

This is an ignorant and misinformed article. I've read many of Wad's articles. They are all ignorant, biased, ultraconservative trash.

"Obama will grant waivers to parents (and other relatives) of anchor babies....
Of course, the waivers will be distributed to parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters and perhaps, many others related to those born in this country (so-called anchor babies)".

It's actually U.S. citizen parents, siblings and spouse. And not an "anchor baby". Only a child over 21. The term anchor baby makes not sense and is truly ignorant. Anyone with knowledge of the immigration process knows a child uner 21 can not file an I-130 (Petition for an Alien Relative).

"The move will bypass Congress and has left many Republicans angry as Obama continues to rule by executive order."

USCIS, angency of Homeland Security (a Federal Cabinet) is responsible for immigration related rules. Since 1954, there has been in place a process to allow a U.S. citizen with to file an immigration petition for an illegal immediate relative. The proposal is merley to allow the processing of a hardship waiver (~6-9 months) to occur in the U.S., not in the immigrants home country. This benefits the U.S. citizen plus provides effeciences to the U.S. government.

The only "waiver" program we should utilize is one where we wave good-bye to illegals upon their deportations! We should give illegals nothing, starve them out so to speak. One parent applying for their American-born kids' freebies should be a legal citizen, otherwise the care and feeding of those kids should fall upon the parents; they breed them so it's up to them to feed them. Teach them the meaning of being personally responsible for themselves and their families. If that were to happen, their birth rate would suddenly plummet. They want hand-outs to make a "better life" for their families.

Read the existing immigration laws, numb nut. 1st, the U.S. citizen applies on the immigrants behalf. Not vice versa (that means the opposite). 2nd, the U.S. citizen must be an adult, and provide concrete proof that they can support the illegal immigrant.

Get the facts from the source, not from some ultra conservative blogger ot talk radio show host. Grow a pair and don't be a sheep.

Numb nut, the hardship waiver process has been an immigration administrative rule since 1954. The proposal merley modifies it so that the processing of the form can occur in the U.S. not in the illegal immigrants home country.

Check your facts. Don't base your opinion on propganda spwewed form an orifice of some conservative extremeist blogger or talk radio show host.

Really, so how does the "legal maerican newborn" file for his/her own freebies? His illegal parent/parentss fill out the paperwork with a translators' aid I am sure. I know for a fact that many kids born on American soil to illegals have case numbers, so how do they get them, through the entitlement fairy????
