I just read the notes from the meetings. Rubio is out!!! He doesn't want legalization before the border is secured. And I'm sure he's worried about his future in politic's if he's used as the spokeman for a bill that will destroy our economy and culture more than it already has...Rubio also read the fine print in the bill, and know's it's only helping big money and doesn't raise the level of wage and standard of living for the uneducated illegals. Good start. Hope he tweeks it or throws it out altogether.

A vibrant illegal work force is highly profitable for big business while tax payers are footing the bills like health care and education for these workers and their children, nothing will change without immigration reform, broadening the tax base with the inclusion of this illegal work force can alone serve to ease the pressure the working people of America are facing on this issue
who are presently stuck with the bills of an illegal the workforce without immigration reform and without policies to stop this practice this matter will only gets worst.

How will adding millions of illegal aliens to our workforce help the 23 million unemployed Americans? If they were given their jobs back instead they in turn would be increasing our tax base. Since illegals are low wage earners nothing would change in terms of the taxpayer having to subsidize their healthcare and wages via welfare benefits.

It would be naive to think employers are going to allow them selves to be stuck with a class of workforce that has the leverage to make demands be it reasonable or not without recourse, can you explain why the GOP so adamant about organised labor and Unions?

If illegals were legalized the employers would have to pay them a fair wage also and would have the right to make demands just like citizens do. Americans need the jobs they are holding. But just like before a new batch of illegals would come to replace the newly legalized illegals and we would be back to square one again.

I am an Independent so why ask me about the GOP?

Rubio comes across good in the Senate where everyone is an idiot and conservatives don't exist. But in the house he is exposed as the TOTAL buffoon that he is. The leadership of the Republican party is exposing themselves as a bunch of anti country, elitist neocons. The Republicans desperately need new leadership. This new world order BS they embrace is anti American.

Then employers are going to have the choice to recruit workers based on their abilities to performance or on the basis of production and productivity, who should be afraid of that?

Independent, progressive or what ever one call ones self we all need to be more cognizant of the reality of every thing surrounding us and the effects it has on our very lives.

I thought about that question a lot... A vibrant illegal work force. Except they don't want to assimilate nor become US Citizens, and most get paid under the table, don't pay taxes, nor do they want to. Reform would force illegals to come out of the shadows and pay their own way. Exactly why they won't. Hiding, benefit's them far more. And they simply won't apply. Those millions who are on our States charge need to be deported. But we won't enforce our laws because lobbyist's stuff Politicians and law makers pocket's.

the only way to help American citizens is to punish all illegal aliens and those who employ them.make being here a living terror as it should be, afraid to walk outside fear of answering their front door until being good honest folks and leaving the country would help all the way around.

rewarding criminals is foolish and a complete fail.

Yes, terrorizing illegal aliens and making their lives a living hell sounds like a most righteous way to “help” American citizens, but why stop at calling it the “only way?” Surely, we could learn from history.

Why stop with mere acts of direct malevolence against “all illegal aliens” to raise the eminence of all “real” Americans when we could, and probably should, also bring back state-sanctioned rituals like some good old fashioned book burnings and massive rallies of enthusiastic citizens cheering a uniformed goose-stepping military demonstration of might — perhaps a mandatory ID tattoo program, some broken windows, some forced labor camps or even impromptu street executions.

Achtung! Arbeit macht frei.

we did learn from history being nice and rewarding them is a fail for the country, look at the mess we now have all do to being nice,it was a mistake so time to change tactics, no rewards just extreme and harsh measures. i bet it will work better than rewarding them.

now for thoise who don't like the idea i am sure if you get robbed you like the idea of the judge giving the crook your house and car as well, not even caring if your kids become homeless as long as the crook gets taken care of.

That is exactly why we need to start enforcing the law and deport illegals and arrest those who employ and enable them.

You certainly know how to make a brutal fascist regime sound like a fun thing for frustrated “real” Americans who feel impotent and blame “illegal immigrants” for their failures and also like a surefire way to keep the American bloodline pure. History has shown us how well the Lebensborn program worked out and, of course, how much the kids enjoyed it.

Haven't these fools learned anything from the '86 shamnesty? I see this as being no different as the enforcement part of the bill will never be implemented and the border will still remain porous as more of the people Mexico wants to dump into ths country will continue to flow in. Nothing will get solved, and this country will fall into a deep abyss from which it will never emerge again. This bill needs to die...period, so let your reps know how you feel.

Historically Hispanics do assimilate if not more than any other cultures and do prosper as well to assume otherwise is a wrong theory, people risks their lives facing all form of humiliating circumstances and indignation just to come and live and work here by their own choice and not by a selective process is more than enough testimony to demonstrate how longing they are to be part of this society.

What utter BS! Hispanics do not assimilate very well. That's why we are required to speak Spanish to get a job in our own English speaking country now. Look at Miami for a good example and many parts of the southwest.

So if someone risks their lives by breaking the law that is an admirable thing to you? They don't want to be part of our society they just want the money they can make here and it matters not to them that they steal jobs, resources and taxes from Americans to achieve their goals either. It matters not to them that the commit felony ID theft or tax evasion either. All's good just as long as it benefits them.

What the hell are you talking about? Are you not aware that we allow in 1 million legal immigrants into our country from all over the world every year and that we have Americans from all ethnicities/races? So just what is this American pure bloodline that you speak of? Put your race card back in your wallet. We have immigration laws just like every other country and have the right to enforce them just like every other country does.
