Don't you think that the rights of U.S. citizens have been violated by forcing them to finance the care of a good many of these children?. Why should the government assume that the taxpayers must willingly pick up the tab to house, educate and support these kids? If only this government would work as fervently for the unemployed citizens of this country, but BO prefers to golf and the rest of the do nothing fools think they deserve a vacation after having done little to nothing after fighting like kids on the playground during recess. I am sick of the entire issue.
Teddy, How many times do we have to go through this? The families are paying school taxes. Their children are attending schools that they pay for. You were not complaining when they were paying taxes without kids in school. As a matter of fact you seemed quite happy to cash the paycheck. How you can construe this into have your rights violated is mind boggling.

You give yourself away when you lapse into you nonsense about golfing. I am sure you know that every president since William McKinley has golfed except for Truman and Carter. Golfing presidents used to be considered endearing. It only became an issue with Obama. I wonder why that is?

As for vacations in general why didn't anybody complain when Bush spent 490 days in Crawford or when Clinton spent 174 days on vacation or when Reagan spent 349 days at his ranch. Now it is considered scandalous when the current president takes 138 days.

Where the heck were you...of course they complained, Heck, I was always ticked off at Bush Sr. who seemed to be on a perpetual fishing trip. The difference is the state of the country and the world was not about to implode like they are now and the trips were not as frivolous as they seem to be now. GW Bush spent a lot of time working and vacationing at his ranch.

Back to tracking, how can they be tracked it they don't show up for their hearings? The percentage of those that do is minimal...just as it always has been. Names get changed and they move aound...lost in the mulititudes. Memo, we can go back and forth and will never reach an accord. I respect your right to your opinion, and I will continue to hold mine. We can't fix this mess, and I have no confidence that this administration will fix much of anything either. I imagine it is just going to get worse.

What would be the point of people traveling all of this way to search out Border Patrol so they could surrender and take advantage of the asylum laws if they were not going to show up in court?

Wouldn't it have been easier to skip the whole surrendering and detention part if their goal was to instead to skip out and then find themselves in an "illegal " status?
