Mexicans are still here aren't they? They've always been here and they will always be here, regardless of which government rules the land.

You're focusing on which government governs instead of what people inhabit the land. Open your eyes and see.

Look here, Latinos are becoming the largest cultural group.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-130...

Look here, even Hispanic names are becoming popular among non-Hispanics.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/10/hisp...

And I'm sure you don't need a link to know how influential Mexican cuisine is in the US, do you?

I don't care which government rules the land, ultimately, it's the people on the land who matter.

Now as for the Alamo, do some research and see how influential the Mexican culture is in Texas, not just the Alamo, ALL OF TEXAS.
So now, go back to Asia!!!!

Maybe a true southerner takes issue with "shut-up". Kids here are taught that it is cussing. Frankly, I never liked to hear it, but never felt that it could be considered cursing. They call it the "S" word...go figure. The first time a kid told me somebody said the S word, I thought that meant that somebody said:$hi*!

That's funny, the "S" word. But for someone to consider "shut up" as cursing that person has got to be ultra square!

It's offensive to tell someone to shut up, but it's not profanity at all!
If it's offensive, then why do you do it??

I do agree with you on this one as I too don't consider it to be cursing. However, I don't know that I would call that person ultra square, because that is how they were raised to think. I think it has to do with teaching civility to the very young, and in some cases, it sticks even when they are adults. All of us, including me, need to step back and try to be more civil when posting to others.

This is in Terms of Service for Topix:

Therefor, whoever can't take it, get the hell out!
Really, they want to come on board and express their negative views about other cultures/ethnicities/nationali ties/etc., but when it's their culture/ethnicity/nationality/ etc., that is disrespected they want to click on the "Report Abuse" link. Such people need to get out of Topix.
I just wish people could be kinder to each other. Frankly, I think it's just as easy to ignore somebody who one might consider writing offensive material, but that's just me. I have ignored a lot of silliness throughout my time on these threads.

I do believe you. How about letting me bring the nicer side of you out in the open? I think most everybody has a nice side to them...most everybody, but not all. I have come across a couple that I happen to think are rotten to the core.

Ima is a troll that refuses to register that moniker. It may be in a sensitive position where it would jeopardize it's standing if its posts were ever released to the public.

Or, is is already registered with a different moniker. Ima is just the garbage posting moniker it.
