Rose is your woman! When she walks in a room the paint peels from the walls and the rats pass out from the stench!!

Little known facts about Italy.....

During the period of December 27 to December 31, store windows throughout Rome are filled with red boxer shorts, red underpants, and red lingerie.
According to tradition, wearing red underwear on New Year's Eve and throwing it out the next day will ensure good luck in the coming year.

Pope Benedict XVI definitely has an eye for fashion; He has been spotted sporting Santos reading glasses from Cartier(when he isn't wearing sunglasses from Gucci and Serengeti)
and listening to his papal white, custom engraved ("To his Holiness") Apple IPod while rocking brown Geox walking shoes.
All this brans association makes marketers very happy, given the pointiff's millions of devoted followers.

What's on Pope Benedict XVI's Ipod?
Works by Beethoven, Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Stravinsky, plus a special twenty-minute feature on the life and music of Mozart that was produced just for him by the staff at Radio Vaticana.
Benedict, a skilled pianist and big Mozart fan, is known to play a Mozart sonata before bedtime.

The abbreviation for pound is "lb"
because in ancient Rome,
the value of a sack of coins
was determined by weight,
weight was measured in libras and the libra,
in records kept in Latin was written as "lb".

It was common practice in the ancient marble quarries of Rome
for unscrupulous stone dealers
to cover any imperfections with wax.
The ruse eventually became illegal,
as the Roman Empire certified that all marble,
in order to be genuine, had to be "sine cera"
or (without wax).
Hence, to be sincere means to be genuine.

Banks get their name
from the word "bancu",
the Latin term for the long
bench that moneylenders
would set up in courtyards
in ancient Rome, and from
which they would do business.
