Apparently, he's taken to out and out lies of late, nice of him to finally come clean and be outed as the liar he really is. He's always been disingenuous, but not so openly.
Well I haven't seen him publicly admit his sin, ask for forgiveness and repent it. Have you?

I guess you didn't hear about Maine and Maryland, where state referendums approved same-sex marriage.
If you're going to make claims, make sure you have the facts to back them up.
Don't forget Washington:-)

Voters passed a referendum approving legislation, not initiating same sex marriage law. Same sex marriage is bad because its antidemocratic.
Actually when the voting citizens of Maine, Maryland and Washington voted.......their vote passed Marriage Equality Referendums.......because the anti-gay folks tried to prevent Marriage Equality from taking place!!!

Minnesota voting citizens prevented discrimination from being written in their State Constitution!!!

Hey remember how all the anti gays kept claiming that if SSM passes ministers would face fines and imprisonment for practicing their beliefs?

Well hold on to your hat.

In Indiana if a minister performs a same sex blessing he faces fines and imprisonment!

The Family Values folks always claimed they stood for religious freedom. When did they decide a minister or priest blessing two people was a crime?

.
<quoted text>30 of those states define marriage as one man and one woman in their Constitutions. Same sex marriage is therefor unconstitutional.
.
<quoted text>In every state, homosexuals may marry under the same laws as everyone else. They have equal protection, but that's not what lides' advocates; he wants special rights to rewrite marriage law for everyone.
.
<quoted text>There is no gender equality right in the US Constitution; the ERA failed.
The law must treat people equally, that's what you are failing to admit. If you want there to be any marriage laws, then those laws cannot discriminate based on certain criteria, one of those is gender. The marriage laws currently do discriminate based on gender, and thus they are not valid laws and must be corrected.

Your religious mythology and nonsense is still just nonsense.

Please stop falling into his web. Gender is different than the sex of the individual. Even Chance understands that when it come to gender and the physical sex of the person, they don't always match. He even accepts that as natural. Brian uses whatever words he finds that sound good, even if they are inaccurate and misleading. I know you are better than that.

Sorry to get on your case but if we allow them to continue using inaccurate definitions we are basically letting them know they can win.

Their campaign of misinformation must be carefully addressed IMO. I think you know that as well as I do.

Many hugs my dear.

David.

Answer: 1997!
Do the research, the laws states a minister can be charged with perjury on the license application, not for performing a religious ceremony. Same sex marriage is bad because it's like lying on a license application or like the renegade clerks in California, writing their own marriage laws.

And those brave clerks in Ca were part of the ultimate solution, and can now process those legal marriage licenses with flair!

Prop 8 is gone and you just don't like that......by the way, that's YOU'RE problem........not the County Clerks problems who are doing their job and lawful duties!!!

Why do you hate the US Constitution, and its guarantee of freedom of religion?

Why do you hate its guarantee of equal protection of the laws?

Why do you wish for fellow citizens to be classified as second class citizens with less than equal protection of the law?

You have a very hateful person, Brian.

All the hate comes from the left; I've never uttered any word of hate. I'm here to argue for keeping marriage one man and one woman, not to make false emotional appeals.

Same sex marriage is bad because its based on hate and lies. See lides posts for proof.

Brian, before you criticize the system, or claim that "democracy" has been subverted, know how the system works. You have no more right to have input into who I marry that I have input into what religion you may worship, what you may say, or whether you can own a gun.

Oh, and we don't live in a Democracy, we live in a Representative Republic. Though I doubt very much that you are intelligent enough to understand the difference.

No it wasn't. I see you're mean spirited and totally INACCURATE, as usual.

Massachusetts signed on first in 2004 by POPULAR vote. Hawaii toyed with it in 1991, but activist judges stopped it, but they are on board to legalize it any day now.

Many countries in Europe, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, were far in front of America and some of them signed it into law as early as 2001, showing the Old World is often more progressive than the New World.

Since California did NOT sign on for that brief window in 2008, before the vile discriminatory Prop 8 kicked in, now an ugly memory, you can hardly say that Californians "created" gay marriage. Try to at least be SEMI cogent, or keep quiet.

To quote NorCal Native, Prop 8 is as dead as Cesar and all your pissing and moaning will NOT bring it back. Deal with it.

Hate and lies? So, in other words, consenting adults who love one another and only want to be with another person are full of hate? Perfect Brian_G logic.

Hey, Brian, as soon as your precious heteros STOP letting their easily given marriages an only 49% chance of success, why not deal with THEM, breaking their vows to GOD, and let others who are moving heaven and earth to marry?

I've heard of heteros marrying after only knowing each other for hours in Las Vegas or the like. I recall Britney Spears being married for only 55 hours. You talk about a sham and disgrace to the majesty of marriage, yet she was completely within her rights and legal. I guess since she was married to an opposite sex partner, you have NO problem with that travesty.

If you truly believe we deserve equal treatment under the law I just don't understand why you now want to create religious exemption for every law on the books in every State. That is what the goal is by these people.
You willingly let yourself be co opted by the very people and thinking you claim to oppose.
I do not feel what the florist did was right however she is within the law to do so. I read the case posted by Rick from Kansas and no where in that ruling did I find that the State has the right to "compel" a small business to do anything that is against the Free Exercise Clause. The owner clearly invoked her right by stating ""because of [her] relationship with Jesus Christ,"

It is a slipper slope to compel a person to do things that are clearly against his/her Constitutional Rights.

DNF we will have to agree to disagree on this particular case because I see this as an attack on small business to compel them to comply regardless of that businesses owners personal rights.
