you say immigration reform will improve country, economy?

if 100+ MILLION poor get amnesty, how is that suppose to improve the economy?

do we need 100+ MILLION farm workers? what would happen to all the jobs? who is going to pay the welfare when we are broke?

looks like what we are seeing is the effects of the last shamnesties, their families are now wanting to reward more. has nothing to do with being good for the country we all know different as do they.

it will cause more poverty is all it will do,making a peasant class.

It is bgoing to improve the economy by those people that already work, being able to earn more and thus pay more in taxes, pay for DL,pay for car insurance for the cars they already are driving, etc ,etc but your narrowed thinking doesn;t let you to admit it.waht is going to happen whith thje jobs is that they are going to be paid more and pay more taxes on that earnings and when we are broke, more people putting money in taxes into the SS it's going to put more $$ in the government for when people go broke...

personally i believe illegals should have to pay fees for crossing illegally, pay back whatever they took in government assistance and most important learn English after all you aren't in your country anymore. also if you've had any serious problems with the law (besides illegally crossing) then you wouldn't be able to qualify. also you would have to be sent back to your country and wait for a certain period of time before you can cross again legally and secure the borders.

" Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida argued this morning on "This Week" that a key provision of the bill, the so-called "pathway to citizenship" for undocumented immigrants, would not give anything away".

Sure it does Senator, it gives or sells our American citizenship to 11 million illegal aliens that broke our Immigration Laws to get here!

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

It's sad when some politicians and segments of our population want to degrade our American Citizenship to the point where it has no value or meaning.

"This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forward another amnestybill like this."

100 million? Last time we heard from you it was 200 million. You don't exactly have a firm grip on reality.

so, how many do you think would apply for the amnesty, genius?

that 11 million that they are using now was the same number they used 10+ years ago.

do you honestly believe it will only be 11 million?

the border patrol folks say it will be around 50-70 million. but that's based on their experience which is just on the southern border, and the hispanics crossing over illegally.

what about the asians, europeans, arabs, etc?

100+ million is my estimate. and personally, I think it may be higher. consider this.. there are 6+ BILLION people in the world. 100+ million would be nothing.

using YOUR logic, why don't we just allow everyone in the world to become citizens?

do you think that would make our economy better?

Of course the "economy" will benefit from amnesty. More demand for products will increase prices while an over abundance of labor will lower wages. Increased prices for goods and lower wages will equal greater profit for the rich and a decline in the standard of living for the middleclass and poor. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer and anybody who opposes it is labeled a racist.

Exactly! It ain't benefitting the citizens of the U.S.'s economy but, benefitting only the economy of illegals who aren't use to a higher standard of living as well as the countries that they send remittances to and to the corporations and businesses that employ them...ain't interested in immigrants and their cultures that they bring.

Illegal immigrants are thieves. They are blood-suckers, Opportunists who demand so much from a country, which is not their own. Shame on you! You know you cannot get benefits, but then again, you have found a way to dip your filthy fingers in our coffers. You are best at creating babies for a living. Simply disgusting. Your children are your freaking responsibilities. How dare you let hard-working Americans take care of your own flesh and blood. Simply Disgusting!

How could it possibly lead to more demand for products or result in an abundance of labor. They are already here. Do you think they will start eating more food or buying more things because their status is legalized?
