If the vote on immigration does lead to a split
within the Republican Party that would be the best thing that has ever happened to them:
because it would signal a significant step away
from the American two-party -money-democracy to
a system made of many parties, where opinions
and values really do matter, as opposed to a system where the two leading parties agree on nothing, except that voters are to be lead on and made to
cooperate on the next important economical
issue: Why was the gridlock so bad this year?
Because both parties donīt care about the extant issues enough. The only thing they care for is to
make a great impression, win the next election and to harp on their supposed principles. Let the Republicans actually split as a party: Iīd just love to see that.
The far right wing could give themselves a new name
and leave those republicans who actually want to get something done -alone. Within days, legislation
would start moving again. And if the far right
wing should have some earth-shattering, mind-blowing message to awaken the dead, everybody could just turn on their T.V. or p.c. in order to receive
instant enlightenment- Or at least a vivid debate,
by which to sit and eat their conrflakes with blue-
berries or with strawberries, depending on whether you were a Republican or a Democrat.

I wonder if it was like this the first time the rich elitists pushed for slavery.
