That was before special interests and big business put together their deals and kickbacks to congressman.

Wait and see how popular reform/amnesty is come Jan 2014 in a election year, politicians will avoid this topic like the plague.

How can it be easy politics? when one segment of one party is trying its best to be not only dismissive but demeaning as they are to the aspiration of a large and growing voting block, you can bet "easy" is too much a simple word to explain the unavoidable long term damage which is going to be self inflecting in this process to reform the immigration system.

That is true. To deny that "comprehensive immigration reform" is not amnesty for millions of criminals and a source of cheap labor that will drive down wages and the quality of life for all Americans does not make those who support it right.
