But I've been thinking about our "black" president. Guess what, based on the Spanish caste (casta) system in colonial Mexico, he would be considered Mulato, not black (Negro, Negroe.)
His mother was White , and an African father, correct? That makes him Mulato, not black as he is believed to be.
Therefore, we do not have a black president, we have a mulato president!!!!
It is apparent that he IS a mixture of the two races, however he has been embraced as black, when in reality he is not. It is a fact that has been conveniently ignored. Not that it matters one iota...he stands alone as being the first mixed race president, and I think more will follow one day. This country's races are melting together, but it's is too bad that with this melting, so does this country's rich culture and heritage, as there are those who are trying to change it to fit what they have brought with them, rather than adapting to ours. Sharia law comes to mind. That is not acceptable.

U.S. Reps. Beto O'Rourke and Steve Pearce on Thursday announced filing a bill that would allow review of cases involving families that have been separated by immigration laws.

"Yesterday, I filed a bill along side Republican Steve Pearce of New Mexico to bring justice to U.S. citizens that are separated from their families," said O'Rourke, D-El Paso.

The American Families United Act is a bipartisan immigration bill that would grant discretionary authority to judges and officials from the Department of Homeland Security to review cases in which families have been split by immigration laws. The officials would review the cases to decide whether relief is in the public interest.

"I am proud to work across party lines to allow justice for wrongfully separated families with my good friend Congressman O'Rourke," Pearce said.

"I have long said that we should never split up families, and today's proposed law allows the careful and sensible evaluation of cases where American families have been wrongly separated, but still makes sure that our immigration laws are upheld."

This country does not split these families, it is due to the choices that the parents make when they have children while living in this country illegally. They know full well that at any time it is possible for the long arm of the law to find them and do as the law reads, deport them because they came here without papers, without permission. When a legal citizen breaks a law, he/she faces the consequences for his/her illegal actions, and the families are split from them as well. Are we to ignore their illegal actions just so they too will not be split from their families? It is ridiculous to even consider special dispensations for illegal interlopers.

They do not have to split up at all. If the illegal alien parents of an anchor baby is deported, the baby can accompany them back to their homeland without passport or visa. All they need is his birth certificate. The child is a dual national until age 18, the age of election, and enjoys all the benefits of being a legal subject of his parents' home country as well as the benefits of the country of his birth. All this BS about splitting up families is liberal, subversive propaganda and a big lie. There is no legal reason why a family should be split due to deportation of the parents. A dual national at age 18 goes to the consul that he elects to be a citizen of and makes an oath of allegiance. If he does not elect, the decision will be made for him by the country within which he lives at age 18, based upon his actions and obvious choice. A certificate of citizenship will be issued by the State Department of the country of election.

President JImmy Carter created a fiction of perpetual (lifetime) dual nationality in 1977 by allowing the Shah of Iran and other wealthy Iranians, after sham naturalizations, to keep their Iranian passports. They had hoped that the Iranian Revolution of 1977 would fail and they could then return to power. This delusional, fictional, perpetual, dual nationality then spread among all nationalities, many of whom demanded to be treated like the Iranians: Many wanted to be U.S. citizens and maintain loyalty to their native countries. Consequently, newly naturalized U.S. citizens are now allowed, if they choose, by practice in the U.S. only, but not by international law, to keep their foreign passports and claim citizenship in both countries. The truth belying Jimmy Carter's fiction lies in the oath taken by newly naturalized citizens: It still requires all of them, without exception, to abandon all loyalty to all other countries. Although they may possess passports of the U.S. and their home country, they are not really dual nationals. Prior to Carter, possession of passports of two different countries was grounds for revocation of U.S. citizenship and a deportable offense. Dual nationality after age 18 is still a fiction under the international law of most countries.

Jimmy Carter left the White House in 1981, but his life of public service was far from over. He has enjoyed the longest post-presidency of any U.S. President, and one of the most productive. His work through the Carter Center, the nonprofit he and Mrs. Carter began in 1982, played a large part in his 2002 Nobel Peace Prize. Nearly 33 years after leaving the White House, the former president, 89, and first lady, 86, speak with Parade on the work they are most proud of, how Washington politics have changed, and the secret to their 67-year marriage.

On how President Carter hopes history will remember him:
Jimmy Carter:“I’d like to be judged primarily by our work at the Carter Center for the last 32 years. I don’t mean to exclude the White House. But in my more self-satisfied moments, I think about our unwavering promotion of peace and human rights.”

On how President Carter would advise Hillary Clinton regarding a possible run in 2016:
JC:“Most of the democratic candidates consult with me, at least to be polite. I tell them,‘go ahead and run.’ I use myself as an example. Nobody thought I had a chance in God’s world to be the nominee. Obviously she’ll have a good chance if she does run.”

Grandson James Carter IV uncovered the hidden camera video of Mitt Romney making his comments about the 47 percent. What was President Carter’s reaction?
JC:“I think it was the turning point [in the election]. About six months later, President Obama came to Atlanta, and another grandson, Jason, a state senator, took James over to meet the president, and Obama thanked him profusely. I was very proud.”

What is this country's rich culture and heritage? This country is still in the making. What you call this country's rich cultural heritage is made up mostly of Anglo-Saxon-Teuton culture. Stop and think about it for a moment.
<quoted text>
No one is trying to change it. It's being changed as more cultures and ethnicities other than Anglo-Saxon-Teuton are added to the melting pot.
<quoted text>
Rather than adapting to ours? Bingo!!!!!
That's the problem! You think it's all yours (Anglo-Saxon-Teuton) and it's NOT! This country is still in the making. Dr. Poesnecker said it's barely in it's adolescent years. It's not an adult yet, it's still maturing.
You should expect to see more changes and instead you say it's not acceptable.
Believe me, changes are coming. You're going to see the Latin/Hispanic culture become a greater art of this country.
The problem is the melting is not happening as it once had in the past. Resisting assimilation helps nobody in the scheme of things.
