Some people don't seem to want to face the truth that the cost of health insurance is based on the COST to provide the service. The insurance companies charge based on expected cost to provide the service plus profit for the investors. If you want to provide "affordable healthcare" you have to make the cost of healthcare affordable and not by having the taxpayer give money to insurance companies to guarantee that the make money no matter what the cost of thee service is.
It is far more complex --- The US health care system is dysfunctional, yet the potential for positive change is rather spectacularly illustrated by work done by Dr. Jeff Brenner in Camden, New Jersey. Basically, he found that 1% of the patients in Camden were responsible for 30% of hospitalization costs. Sometimes called super utilizers, high utilizers, or frequent fliers, these patients have complex medical conditions and often lack social services such as transportation or knowledge about how to use the health system most effectively. By some estimates, 5% of these patients account for more than 60% of all healthcare costs. This is a system that is so dysfunctional that it does not even work for those who are getting the care!

So what?
If you don't like deficit spending, then you don't like Ronald Reagan who set the record.
You don't like George Bush who was handed the first budget surplus in decades and turned it into the deficit we have now.
Wipe your chin, Shug.
So what? I was dispelling one of your liberal liars post with the correct Ca.#'s.Typical liberal such as yourself when all else fails resort to blaming Bush or reagan or santa claus but never take responsibility for the train wreck we are in now.You can stuff the chin comments SHUG!

A new Gallup poll brings more terrible news for President Obama and his signature health plan, showing that only 22% of uninsured Americans who plan to buy insurance have visited the ObamaCare exchanges.
This disaster is going to fail and fail miserably.for it to work millions of young healthy adults have to buy policies, well guess what?their not gonna do it.Skyrocketing premiums, and deductables. So the people that do buy policies well guess your rates are going to go higher and higher. a complete disaster is the only way to describe the potus signature law, well the only term to use to describe him,DISASTER!

I a show on his study and most of the people that use the majority of the services are not covered by private health insurance and never will be. Their costs are covered by the tax payer. That does not make the system dysfunctional. If you ant to see a truly dysfunctional system Obamacare is it. As I said the best solution to getting people to carry health insurance is to increase employment and encourage employer sponsored health plans. On both of these points Obamacare is designed to do just the opposite. The next priority is to fix our healthcare system which we spend more for and receive less from than most other industrialized countries. Forcing people to buy insurance they cannot afford with benefits they do not need in order to appease the insurance companies and healthcare providers does not encourage either industry to reduce costs.

too bad you aren't celebrating Christmas, the rest of us aren't letting ANYTHING STOP US from celebrating THE BEST AND BIGGEST HOLIDAY IN MY COUNTRY. Heck even my favorite charity "wounded soldiers of America" are getting some extra money from me for Christmas plus packages if allowed for their kiddos....I love children especially those of our wounded soldiers. Children's laughter is like music in the air.

You aren't the sharpest pencil in the drawer, are you, dear?

If you still have time to do your Christmas shopping, you still have time to buy insurance if that's what you want to do.

You think you can insult people for their opinions?Typical of a liberal/dummycrap.Do you honestly believe that young healthy people are going to spend money on health insurance? No their going to buy that Iphone5 or ps4 or the newest tablet and pay the 95$ fine. Your masters plan is sinking faster than the titanic.Apparently so are his #'s.

Pssst, I think you need to step back from this comment.

"How many have finished "there" Christmas shopping?

OH WOE! there will be no Christmas this year!

HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAH"

Notice the word, there? It should be their, their shopping. Grammatical mistakes are worse than an occasional misspelled word. I don't ususally like to call folks out over nonsense like this, but for you, I will make an exception. Make sure your ducks are all in a row before you criticize others. We all make mistakes, darlin', some more than others. In the scheme of things how do simple mistakes change the discussion?
