From what I've read, there are folks in CA who can't afford housing, and are living in their cars--even though they work. How in the heck are they going to be able to cover increased premiums? And if it's a choice between food and health insurance for their families, what would logically win out? This 'affordable care act' is nothing more than another tax that has been lobbed onto taxpayers, there's nothing affordable about it.
poor people, our Americans living in their cars? this should never be. I can't imagine what will happen with this forced health care insurance to these people. As it is their cars require insurance and to drive to their jobs they must have it. This tyrant has no empathy for OUR PEOPLE, OUR FELLOW CITIZENS.

Seriously? That is what you were told?
Obamacare covers everybody. Nobody is "exempt". The whole point of the law is to provide people without employer sponsored insurance plans an opportunity to buy insurance at reasonable rates.
Members of Congress, the Senate and government employees like you already have medical insurance. There is no reason for you or anybody else who already has insurance and are happy with it to need Obamacare. It does not apply to you, but to say that you or your fellow government employees in Congress are "exempt" is incorrect.
Can you explain how people who had been working full time had their hours cut so that they would no longer be eligible for employer sponsored healthcare, thus pushing them into the Obamacare 'mandate'?

I have family in CA, and it's nothing for a 2,000 square foot house to go for a million +. In this praticular area, the home taxes are over $10,000.00 a year. The best part of it is that their sewer pipes are collapsing!

News flash for you Sparky. They may report this on your beloved "FOX and Friends", but in the real work it does not fly. Part time employment reached its peak in 2008 and has been down trending ever since.

See how stupid the Saudis make you look. When will you learn that they don't have our best interests at heart. Either start trusting Americans or move out of the country.

I have to wonder why you're ok with government mandating that all car drivers have insurance on their cars but get all angry when government tells you to get insurance on yourself.

Are you people really that ret*rded?

His Fox News story originated by the fact that Republican leaders were telling willing businesses to cut their hours so as to skirt Obamacare mandates and then cry that they cannot afford full time employees due to Obamacare.

Of course a company cannot make any real profits with just part time help so that ploy busted as fast as it was thought of.

However, it made for a good sympathy ploy for Fox News to spin, lie and capitalize on.

Homes in California are not cheap as this State is also the largest baddest economic machine in the Union who also have the brightest and most intellectual people around.

Yes... California, we feed the rest of the USA with our taxes and that's a fact.

You are truly on the short bus.Car insurance has nothing to do with health insurance.Main reason for car insurance is for liability purpose in case your in an accident in your short bus. another typical liberal dumba$$.Your trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. How much more Gov control do we need genius?Where does it end? Once this un-constitutional law is fully implemented there will be no stopping what this Gov. can and will do.Only when you are directly affected will you show outrage. Tell me how's it feel to be a slave?

So you feel that people should be liable for the accidents/mishaps they cause in their car but not for the accidents/mishaps they do to their own body? Not only that but this law was passed by Congress, signed into law by the President and vetted and ruled constitutional by the SCOTUS and you still want to call it an unconstitutional law?

OK little buddy, I now know I'm dealing with a low info person here... get on board, you're my first passenger on the short.

It was not passed by congress....it was forced through by what you're calling a president...and his appointed judges. The majority of people don't want it. Lets see...if I dont own a car...can them make be buy something I dont want?? The gov will see...they will have more folks wanting to take out of this program than those putting in. Being in the medical field, I've run across more than a few physicians who are calling it quits because of this and the rules. They cant afford it. So with declining medical practicianers and anticipated millions of new customers whos going to service them. LOL...Take a number and wait....we'll call you after your dead. Hell how many millions and they cant even get their website to work. You're a bus of one...you ....talking to yourself. ;o)

And the reason you have health insurance is to cover when you get sick.

You will get sick, especially if you continue to have unprotected sex with dozens of strangers on the weekend, Shug.

Well, as an FYI, the unemployment stats are looking so 'great' because many of the long-term unemployed have stopped looking for work.
What's with you and the Saudis? Did they reject your visa request? I trust Americans, just not the liberal kind, they are a greedy bunch.

Ask for Memo to kick in for the repairs, he and his gang of eight here on Topix can hire the illegal workforce to do the work for cheap (just don't ask for him to eVerify their status. Also, don't ask for him to provide any sort of health insurance for his crew, as he can't afford it.

I feel sorry for people who are stuck in a bad economy with few job prospects, and depending on food pantries to feed their kids. That's why we need to reverse the trend of migration to the US. Let's deal with the LEGAL immigrants here, reduce the # of visas into the country, and educate our children, also, we need to ship manufacturing jobs back to the US.
