If you can justify giving to lazy Americans, then others can justify giving it to illegals.
getting rid of all illegal aliens mayeb cause huge numbers to leave the welfare role. never a reason to let anyone other than a citizen have a job when a citizens does not.

It's not the government's job to ensure every citizen has a job.

If you're too stupid or lazy to get a job, that's your own fault.

Welfare is welfare.

It's our tax money going to those who don't/can't/won't work.

If anything, it's even MORE disgusting when an American citizen refuses to take responsibility for their own lives. I expect it from illegals- if they took responsibility for their own lives they'd stay in their own country and work to make it better there, whatever it takes. But an American who has EVERY benefit the world can offer sits on their ass and holds out their hand.....

No, I really don't see any difference.

Exactly. That's why welfare is so popular, up 32% in the past 4 years alone.

it is the government's job to follow through on the laws the made. if they did their job like they all agreed to we would have no illegal aliens now.

we need to place a bounty maybe give citizenship or a green card to illegal aliens who turn in 50 others. turn in a thousand check into citizenship as a reward.

taking up for illegal aliens shows there is no crime you will not support of do. maybe the feds need to check you out after all the hate competition.

" Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida argued this morning on "This Week" that a key provision of the bill, the so-called "pathway to citizenship" for undocumented immigrants, would not give anything away".

Sure it does Senator, it gives or sells our American citizenship to 11 million illegal aliens that broke our Immigration Laws to get here!

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

It's sad when some politicians and segments of our population want to degrade our American Citizenship to the point where it has no value or meaning.

American Workers Continue to Pick up Jobs Left Vacant by Immigration Raids

A new report in USA Today finds that unemployed U.S. citizens continue to
fill up jobs left vacant by immigration raids, particularly at meatpacking
and poultry plants. The reports says that plants impacted by the raids were
back up and running at full capacity within months of the raids.
Vanderbilt University professor Carol Swain said the raids were beneficial
to the American workforce.

"Whenever there's an immigration raid, you find white, black and legal
immigrant labor lining up to do those jobs that Americans will supposedly
not do," Prof. Swain said in the USA Today article.

The USA Today report cites a study conducted by Steven Camarota at the
Center for Immigration Studies that found Americans holding the majority of
positions in fields that many claim are dominated by illegal aliens.

Obama Amnesty Begins: Halts Deportations for 300,000 Illegal Aliens;

Offers 'Work Permits'

08/19/2011

by John Hill

Stand With Arizona

The Obama Administration today announced a virtual amnesty-by-decree for hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens, whose deportations will be "indefinitely delayed"

In addition, Obama finally announced a jobs program - but for ILLEGAL ALIENS, not citizens - as those 300,000 illegals will also become eligible for "work permits".

This action represents an administrative end-run around Congress, which twice rejected the 'DREAM Act' in 2010. As disgraceful as is this usurpation of Congressional authority, this announcement is even worse than is being reported. Our analysis reveals that - despite media focus of this action limited to so-called "Dreamer" illegal students, this new policy, coupled with the criteria established by the June 2011 "Morton Memos" which set up a joint
"DHS and DOJ working group" could expand this "indefinite delay" of
deportation to potentially MILLIONS of illegals - creating a new, massive amnesty entirely by fiat, bypassing Congress.

Anyone who thought illegal immigration was going to be stopped completely was being na´ve.
Unless we have Marines stationed every few feet along the border with shoot-to-kill orders, we'll barely even slow down the number of people crossing our southern border.
That's what happens when a 1st world nation shares a 2500+mile land border with a 3rd world nation.
Starving them out and leaving them homeless would be much more effective.

No way to earn a living, no ability to buy/rent housing keeps the buggers away.

It is the employers and the property owners who are the PRIMARY contributors to empowering people to illegally stay where they do not belong.

Without the ability to make a living and provide themselves with shelter, no illegal would be able to stay very long and would go somewhere where they could better survive.

I said benefits to those who are unable to work (disabled), but I'll add those temporarily laid off (with a limited time). Whatever...

Thinking you can just end welfare is a pipe dream. The "safety net" has a purpose. There's a difference between illegals and Americans,(lazy or not). Otherwise, why not put the entire third world on welfare? We could send check to whatever sh*thole they line in.

and it is those in office who fully support them as well. those folks in office have fought against enforcing the very laws they placed on this issue, showing they will do the same to all laws pertaining to enforcement.

So focus on the employers & property owners who hire and rent to illegals.

As long as EVERY person has to meet the EXACT SAME level of proof of citizenship REGARDLESS of ethnicity in order to get a job or rent an apartment or buy a house, then I could support that.

But of course we know all the white people will get a free pass with the assumption they are citizens, even if they don't have a certified copy of their birth certificate. They won't have to go through the hassle of actually PROVING their citizenship.

And that is my problem with any such laws. If you want to live in a police state, that's your choice. But as long as this is America, I have the right to privacy and should not have to prove my citizenship every time I turn around.
