As an immigrant I have to say that there is so much money given away to countries and people here in the states who are working and still getting welfare benefits etc. We have a great country U.S.A and a great gov. but if we continue to give so much, in the long run, we won't have much left to give or help the really needed. As for immigrants, some are driven by higher forces and irresponsible governments. To the south, not enough money or well paid jobs and here in the states, lots of welfare which makes a lot of people lazy and dependable. with this been said.. the better prepared, the less to complain or blame.. leave this mess behind and seek Your American Dream.

People are hurting out there. Now ,more then ever they are willing and able to work these jobs held by illegals. I just got back from Wal-Mart after going there for my household cleaning product such as bleach, dish washing liquid, etc. I came upon a man standing in line along side of me.(I enjoy talking to people to get a feel of what they are going through under Obama) He lost his job, complained about how scarce jobs are for those who hold Degrees. He also stated he was in such a bad situation that he is about to apply for a cashier job at a gas station come Monday.
So yes, companies are hiring illegals for less pay, but now that the economy is in the tank people are coming out of the woodwork willing to work for those jobs and for less. Many are even holding two jobs now.
It's time for our Government to focus on the citizens and stop pandering to illegals. People are hurting, sacrificing and getting very impatient with what is going on as far as illegals are concern.

The illegals can work for less because it's easy for them to scam the system. The governments even help them scam the system. It's time to fire or tar and feather the traitors no matter what party they belong to.
Agree the extreme factions of both parties are to blame. They are the predator capitalists. Tar and feather starting with Obama first. He deserves much worse.

Certainly ANY crime should make a foreigner deportable...especially any Felony...but it does nothing ~ they will do nothing but continue to release criminals back into the country so that the escalating crime will provide a reason for Martial Law ---and THEN they will take our weapons!!- meantime providing weapons to the mexican Drug Cartels....life has become Too sweet!!

You need to get out more, you need to interact(Talk/communicate) with others. You will see and hear a lot.
This is the problem with most of you trolls, you sit here for hours on end and don't have a clue as to what is actually going on. I live in Chicago, actually at the state-line I don't need to read anything except chgo police websites to know what is going on,the crime, etc. But, I do travel a lot into Indiana and once in awhile to Wisconsin and I see/hear first hand what people are going through under Obama.

No, he's absolutely correct. I see it in my field of work. I'm a truck driver, and now these foreigners are coming along taking jobs away from Americans who won't work for the kind of money offered. So now companies are getting these foreigners to drive trucks instead of increasing wages to attract more American workers.

Supply and demand works fine for employment provided you don't throw a monkey wrench in the works. As for people with degrees, yes, they are driving trucks too because there is no work in their field. My employer told me about the applications he gets. Yes, they are licensed, but have no experience at all.

This will drive down American wages and it will continue that way until we get representatives who are looking out for the country and not their own political career or party. We are being sold down the river by the people we elect.

What does the federal budget have to do with illegals and workers wages?

400,000 people (mostly other North Americans) were deported last year. Half had a criminal conviction, the others nothing. DHS didn't release back to the communities--they released low risk people, which meant ones that had US citizen spouses, children, and a legal loving family waiting for them at home. It saves the taxpayers the $200/day fee to private prisons, and it lets the immigrant work on their case from the outside. Win-win situation!!

Because the federal government pays private prisons about $164/day to keep people locked up. There are 30,000 beds in the DHS "system".$164/day* 30,000 beds = 4.92 million dollars of hard earned taxpayer money per day on this nonsense!! Now, times that by 365 days/year!!!! billions and billions of dollars!! much of it going to private prisons, but what a waste of taxpayer money!!

Then why not let all prisoners out of jail?

I say we get rid of Homeland Security and just tell the other agencies that they have to share information. We don't need them. I say Sheriff Joe should run the prisons for illegal aliens. It sure as heck wouldn't cost $160.00 per day. Our government is laughable.
