This committee is going down the same road that we did in 1986. I was there. I lived it," said Sen.

I always speak the truth. You and other people keep saying that there is no need for a new law and the enforcement of the existing one should solve the problem. Well, that's very wrong. The enforcement of the existing one could prevent more illegals to come in but how about the ones already here? For those already here we need a new law. No brainer!
There is nor will there ever be any new law that allows illegals to remain here just because they managed to cross over our border undetected and remain here. It's not an old law nor will it be a new one it is just amnesty again. No brainer!!

Ted Kennedy was not God and the truth being said : no one can guarantee anything for the future. He made that remark in a good faith that enforcement will happen. But, like we all know it never happen and now America is facing the same problem again. And since you're talking about what makes this country better I'm telling you that Americans have succeeded because they have had a positive approach to every solution. You definitely don't have that spirit since all you do is whining about every solution to the problem without coming out with a real and positive approach.
Giving illegal aliens amnesty is not a positive approach for this country nor its citizens and those are my priorities not illegal alien invaders. The last amnesty just brought quadruple the number of illegal aliens to country. When does it end? When do we say no more...go home where you belong?

It is a positive approach as it will help the economy and that would obviously help the ones that are unemployed but it's hard to see all the positives when all you know is hatred :D

Because what was in the past stays in the past. If you had an argument with a friend a year ago that doesn't mean you cannot get along again. If you fail an exam that doesn't mean you cannot pass it next time. The same thing here. The bill presented by the senators looks similar to the one from 1986 indeed but the situation is different and it looks like this time it has a much better chance to work out.
Ah, but the past serves as a reminder of our past mistakes, and as a tool to never repeat those mistakes. We move forward when we look to the past for clues on how to better our future.

It’s taken 27 years to finally admit that amnesty with promises of “enforcement” didn’t work. So how will our brain dead politicians fix our national disgrace? Why of course, they will pass another “amnesty” with more promises of enforcement to “solve” the problem. Our children deserve better, but votes are more important than national security for our elected officials.

The current bill is over 800 pages of exceptions. This one is useless.

Yes, because the 1986 law hasn't been enforced and now US needs a new law and enforcement to solve this issue.

Now you can use your tiny smart phone to read news, watch live sports and TV, play online games whereas in 1986 if you wanted to find out a word in Japanese for example it could have taken you days or weeks to find out. Did you see the big difference in technology ??? If you see it let me know and I could proceed with further explanations about why you cannot compare the law from 1986 with this current bill.

Since you are not open minded why do you even take part in such debates ? I'm not pro amnesty , I'm just for positive approaches to every problem.
Why can't your positive approach be sending them back and playing the rules? I'm as open minded as you're

Are you her/his secretary or something ? Well, it is pretty bad news for you if you did not get my point.

You cannot compare the situation in 1986 with the one now because the actual technology would allow the implementation of E-Verify which alone would change things completely.

What rules are you talking about ? The actual immigration system is completely outdated but it seems like you still live in the past and that's why you can't get it.

I keep hearing that John Boehner is siding with Dems and a few other Republicans will too. Even if all the Repubs voted for this fiasco, Hispanics will never vote for them. Democrats give to many Welfare benefits to the mexicans, trying to humanize-but Demacrats are really just after their votes.Doing that, will be the end of America. We will soon be completely broke.

I know illegals who would have voted for Romney if they had had the right to vote.

So what do you base your support on of granting amnesty to 11 million illegal aliens with 6.4 million of them being Hispanics??

So why didn't you call I.C.E and turn them in instead of turning a blind eye to the problem?
