He should get the money from the aid we ordinarlly send their countries or origin...not another peeny should be spent on these unwelcome guests. Why is this administration telling nurses and doctors not to tell the public what kind of illnesses these" kids" are bringing in???? Get ready for a new epidemic in tis country...all because this president cares nothing for the legal working ciizens of
this country who will be forced to ante up, while their own families have to do without.

And it could have been avoided if congress just did their jobs. What kind of party says there is a problem but does nothing to fix it. Not one single thing. Hope you would open your eyes and see that this is a problem that affects both major parties. They don't work for us, only themselves and trying to make the other side look bad.
Had congress did their job in the first place then this shit wouldn't be happening. By the way, the legal citizens always ante up for this. No one in congress or government will use their own funds. This is why they should be held accountable instead of just blaming one person as they always do. The president doesn't make laws. Congress and the house does and they aren't doing anything so don't shit on the only person doing something

This president circumvents our laws...his prosecutorial deferrals are what has given these people the idea to sneak in and then they would be here free and clear. Our reps are in it for themselves and this president just knows how to campaign, golf, vacation and run when the going gets tough. He balmes everybody for whatever is wrong, refusing to own any of the many messes he has going on. We the People are the last thing any of these fools ever think about...they only know us when they need more money to spend frivolously.

Maybe so but they are laws that are just outdated and in dire need of change. Why are you not upset that the house is not doing something? He won't be the president forever. They need to stop being so petty and fix it!!!

The House would do something if Obama would secure the border. He vowed a few months ago it was totally secure. We now know that was another lie.

Will the Bush winners please shut up!

Immigrant Surge Rooted in Law to Curb Child Trafficking

George W. Bush, a measure that passed without controversy, along with a pension bill and another one calling for national parks to be commemorated on quarters.

“This is a piece of legislation we’re very proud to sign,” a White House spokesman, Tony Fratto, told reporters on Dec. 23, 2008, as the president put his pen to the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008, named for a 19th-century British abolitionist.“This program has been very effective around the world in trying to stop trafficking in persons.”

Now the legislation, enacted quietly during the transition to the Obama administration, is at the root of the potentially calamitous flow of unaccompanied minors to the nation’s southern border.

I AM upse with everybody...this has been the norm for too long, however this president has escalated the influx wih his misguided dreamers push with his prosecutorial deferrals. Many of us predicted this would be the end result of his ridiculous edict, and we were ridiculed...who is laughing now???? This country cannot afford to absorb the costs for these "Kids" To expect this country to just open its doors to anybody and everybody is a recipe for totall ruination.

It has only been said from all members of congess to the president. However congress won't act and that is a fact. The current law is over 20 years old and not effective in the present. Just look at any interview from the repig cronies to the current administration and it's as plain as day.. However, you won't see that, just the color of the skin of the president and your hatered for that and what he stands for. The prisident has tried to please the far right for too long. It's time he says fuck it and just do something as congress and the rest of their blind followers won't ever do anything..

I agree. It really does not matter what Obama does, he will always be wrong in the Republican reptile brains.

But it would be nice if Obama skipped the fundraising event and focused all his time and energy in Texas on this problem. He will only incite more negative feelings by attending a fundraiser.

If Democrats want to make a statement on this, maybe instead of political fundraising, switch gears and use the money that would normally go towards tasteless political ads and apply it to this problem.

In fact, I hate all political fundraising. When you think about it, what a colossal waste of money to use it for stupid posters and ads that nobody wants to see. I hate it even more when a president's time is wasted on these stupid fundraising events.

Both parties are guilty of this and it needs to stop. I was hoping Obama would be wise enough to put a stop to this. This is where he disappoints me.

And yet, he is still better than the alternative.

This whole two party system sucks @$$!

If you believe that I have a super deal for you. There is this bridge that sees so much traffic you should buy it. Think of the tolls you could charge. There are about 1000 people that uses this every decade or 10. The possibilities are limitless
