Keep them coming Madison!

And do not forget the crimes perpetuated by other illegals such as trafficking of girls for the sex trade (we had several brothels closed in Northern, VA and many were illegal Asians and some were young girls sold by the families or the families were lied to).

It took Montgomery County, MD several attacks on elderly homeowners, one that ended in a fatality, to realize that their cheap help can also rob them or their neighbors blind.

The illegals are always made the victims, well they are not.

Mexican man gets 101-month prison term in Arizona

Posted: Monday, April 19, 2010

A Mexican man with a long criminal history and at least four deportations from the United States since 1980 has been sentenced to more than eight years in federal prison in Arizona.

Federal prosecutors say 52-year-old Adolfo Estrella-Yuan, of Sonora, Mexico, was given a 101-month prison term Monday in U.S. District Court in Phoenix. He was convicted on Feb. 3 of illegal re-entry and given an 80-month sentence plus another 21-month term, to be served consecutively, for violating his supervised release.

Authorities say Estrella-Yuan was arrested outside Yuma last July 31. They say he has two prior immigration-related convictions and two convictions related to the molestation of young children.

On Sunday, police in Stamford arrested Rudy Cortez-Angel, 20, and charged him with first-degree assault, after a brutal attack, a week earlier, left a 37-year-old woman unconscious and badly bleeding. The wounds to her head and back required 50 stitches.

Cortez-Angel, a Salvadoran national, allegedly knocked the woman out with a flower pot. Among other injuries, the woman sustained a broken arm in the attack.

Though an illegal alien, Cortez-Angel works at a local pizza parlor.

According to Stamford police Sgt. Anthony Lupina, several anonymous callers identified Cortez-Angel as the attacker, and led police to his location.

Officers with the Major Crimes Unit found fake Social Security and Permanent Resident cards in his apartment.

Angel-Cortez is due in Stamford Superior Court on April 30. Judge William Wenzel set his bond at $25,000.

Allentown police have charged Feliciano Luna-Velez, 28, with attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault with a weapon, after he allegedly stabbed a man on Wednesday.

According to police, Luna-Velez stabbed Rafael Delgado Jr., 32, in the upper torso and wrist. Delgado was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where he is listed in stable condition.

The attack occurred just after midnight at a park in Allentown.

Witnesses say an argument led to the stabbing.

Police also found drugs at the scene.

Luna-Velez, a Mexican national, is being held in the Lehigh County Prison was on $1 million bail. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has also placed a detainer on the illegal alien.

Thanks to court ruling…Rwandan man guilty of DUI death will not be deported

On March 13, 2005, Rwandan national, Ngere Omari, was driving the wrong way on Interstate 5, near Seattle, Wa., when he crashed head-on into the car being driven by Heather Lee Meadows.

Meadows, 20, was killed instantly and her passenger was seriously injured.

At the time of the crash, Omari had a blood-alcohol level of .18, was on probation and had a suspended license for an earlier DUI. He was convicted of vehicular homicide and sentenced to six years behind bars.

During his imprisonment, he received multiple surgeries, physical therapy and mental health care. Because he does not speak English, he was also given a translator to communicate with the medical personnel…all at the expense of the taxpayers.

Though Omari entered the country illegally, he requested and was granted political asylum, due to Rwanda’s civil war.

Last Tuesday, Omari walked out of the Monroe Correctional Complex, a free man. He was given a year off for good behavior.

At the time he was sent to prison, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement placed a hold on him, and apparently planned to deport him upon his release. However, that hold was later lifted, and Omari is free to remain in the U.S.

A 2005 decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit ruled that vehicular homicide does not warrant “removal” from the country.

The decision, which was written by the supposedly conservative, Bush-appointed, Supreme Court Justice, then-Appellate Judge Samuel Alito, stated that vehicular homicide does not involve “intentional use” of force, therefore, the guilty party cannot be deported.

Of course, Ms. Meadow’s parents are furious over the fact that their daughter’s killer will be allowed to stay in the country.

In a recent interview with KOMO-TV, they said:

"This is the same thing as somebody who goes out and gets drunk, twice the legal limit, picks up a gun and starts shooting randomly. This is the same thought process," said Greg Meadows, the victims' father.

"It makes me angry," said Leah Meadows. "We don't get a second chance. She's gone. We don't get to see her again. Now he gets to lead his life free in our country."

"If you commit any kind of felony in this country, why should we have to allow you to be here?”

Unfortunately, Omari will remain in the U.S., and he will remain a threat to others.

Four Mexican nationals charged with rape, murder of La. woman

On Sunday, less than 24 hours after the lifeless body of Angela Laudun, 33, was discovered in a remote area, Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Deputies arrested and charged four Mexican nationals with her rape and murder.

According to the sheriff’s office, around 2:00 a.m., Saturday, the woman voluntarily left a Galliano bar with the men, at which time they drove her to a nearby house. Apparently, Laudin became concerned for her safety and tried to leave, but the men held her down and took turns raping her.

At some point, during the ordeal, she was strangled to death.

The men, then allegedly placed the woman’s body in their SUV, eventually dumping her in a heavily wooded area. A few hours later, the body was discovered by a man doing some work on his property.

Gonzalo Portillo Cortes, 20; Esdras Sanchez Garcia, 21; Louis Nava, 28; and Jose Castille Mareno, 23, have all been charged with aggravated rape and first-degree murder.

All four suspects work for Quality Shipyard in Houma, La., and while their employer claims that the men presented valid documents prior to their employment, Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a hold on them.

The alleged assailants are Mexican nationals and their interrogations had to be conducted in Spanish. They are currently being held in the Lafourche Parish Detention Center.

Man who hired illegal alien cop-killer remains free after sentencing

May 12,2010
Immigration Reform Examiner
Dave Gibson

On Monday, Robert Lane Camp, 48, was sentenced to three months in prison with an additional three months of home confinement for harboring an illegal alien who, in 2006, murdered Houston Police Officer Rodney Johnson.

On September 21, 2006, Houston Police Officer Rodney Johnson was shot and killed while making a routine traffic stop. The man that murdered him had been deported back to Mexico seven years earlier.

On that fateful day, Ofc. Johnson stopped a commercial vehicle traveling 20 miles over the posted speed limit. The truck was driven by Mexican national Juan Leonardo Quintero. A co-worker and Quintero's two step-daughters were also in the vehicle.

When Quintero was unable to provide any form of identification, Ofc. Johnson handcuffed him and placed him in the backseat of his patrol car. Once the officer was seated behind the wheel again, Quintero though handcuffed, removed the 9mm handgun concealed in his waistband and began firing at Johnson through the plastic shield separating the front and back seats. Johnson was shot in the head five times. He was pronounced dead shortly after being taken to a local hospital.

40 year old Officer Rodney Johnson was a 12 year veteran of the Houston Police Department and a U.S. Army veteran. While serving on the HPD, Ofc. Johnson received two Lifesaving Awards. He left behind his wife Joslyn (also a police officer) and five children.

In 2006, Clara Rodriguez, who lived in the neighborhood where Johnson patrolled had this to say about the murdered officer: "He was just so very nice. He was not ever mean. It just breaks my heart. I feel so very bad for his wife. He got up and went to work this morning, and this is what happened. This is what happened to one of the people who protects us, who truly took care of us."

Juan Leonardo Quintero had prior arrests in Houston. He is a convicted child molester and DWI offender, and was deported to Mexico by U.S. immigration officials in 1999. He had been working for Campo’s landscaping business and despite the DWI conviction, Quintero was driving a company vehicle at the time Ofc. Johnson stopped him.

On May 20, 2008, a Houston jury sentenced Quintero to spend the rest of his life in prison.

Making a statement before the court, Officer Johnson´s sister said: "Juan Quintero is not remorseful, and he is not insane. Losing a loved one the way that we did, and we have is enough to drive someone insane. None of us have displayed such disgraceful and despicable behavior towards him as he has shown this family."

Shortly before the decision was read, news cameras inside the courtroom caught Quintero smiling and laughing with his defense attorney.

As for Camp’s role in the tragedy, besides hiring Quintero, he rented him a home, bailed him out of jail when he was charged with child molestation and even helped him illegally return to the U.S., after he was deported to Mexico.

NC officials charge man with death by vehicle.

RALEIGH, N.C.(AP)— A man has been charged with death by vehicle after North Carolina investigators say he was speeding and lost control of his pickup truck, hitting several trees and pinning himself and his passenger inside.

A supervisor at the Wake County jail said Sunday that 32-year-old Isidro Mendez also was being held on an immigration detainer for federal immigration officials. Mendez has a court hearing Monday.

There was no information about whether he has an attorney.

State troopers told WTVD of Durham that alcohol and speed were factors in the crash. Investigators estimated Mendez was traveling 90 miles an hour in a 35 mph zone.

Mendez was injured in the crash and was treated and released from a local hospital.

When will we have a Memorial Day for Americans killed by illegal aliens?

May 31,2010

Dave Gibson

With Memorial day upon us, we honor the memory of all of those who have died in the service of their country. However, while politicians across the nation will be encouraging us to remember how those Americans died, our elected officials want us simply to forget how many of our fellow citizens die every year at the hands of illegal aliens...You see, they died in a different kind of war.

Despite the false rhetoric spilling from Presidents Bush and Obama not every illegal alien comes here simply to work. In fact, many of them come here to cause mayhem in our streets. One consequence of an open border is the murder of many American citizens.

The following are only a few of the stories which illustrate the human cost of illegal immigration:

-Victim: Oregon State Trooper Bret Clodfelter, 34

On Sept. 30, 1992, Trooper Bret Clodfelter stopped a suspected drunk driver who turned out to be an illegal alien named Francisco Manzo-Hernandez. The drunken driver was traveling with two of his fellow invaders. Trooper Clodfelter handcuffed the driver and placed him in the back seat of his cruiser.

As all of the men were drunk, the state trooper offered to drive the two passengers home. For his kindness, Clodfelter was shot in the head four times. All three fled the scene and were captured a few days later.

Trooper Clodfelter served with the Oregon State Police for eight years and left behind a wife, son, and daughter. A further tragedy took place a year after the trooper's murder, when his wife Rene, took her own life.

Shaw family still fighting for Jamiel…another casualty of illegal immigration (w/video)

A few days ago, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Charles Palmer dismissed a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the parents of Jamiel Shaw, 17, against the L.A. County Sheriff’s Office. Jamiel Sr. and Anita Shaw sought to hold the sheriff’s department accountable for releasing an illegal alien onto the streets, the day before he allegedly killed their son.

The Shaws, along with their attorney plan to appeal the decision.

In March 2008, as Jamiel walked home, illegal alien gang member Pedro Espinoza pulled alongside the teenager, and asked him what gang he was in. According to witnesses, the high school football standout did not answer him, he did not answer because he had no part of gang life.

According to police, Espinoza then opened fire on Jamiel, killing him only feet away from his house. His father heard the gunshots that would take his son from his side forever.

At the time of his murder, Jamiel’s mom, Anita Shaw, was deployed in Iraq with the U.S. Army. She returned home for his funeral.

Espinoza has pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial for first-degree murder.

Because Los Angeles is a ‘sanctuary city’ for illegal aliens, even violent gang members such as Espinoza are all too often placed back into the communities they terrorize, rather than turning them over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement for deportation.

The Shaw family continues to fight for the passage of “Jamiel’s Law” which would force Los Angeles law enforcement to crack down upon and target illegal alien gang members, much the same way the Shaw family and many others believe that those same illegal aliens are now targeting the black residents of L.A.

The family has a website dedicated to Jamiel, and the passage of the measure. Visitors can make a donation through the website, all donations go to purchasing media ads to promote “Jamiel’s Law” and to raise awareness of the dangers posed by illegal aliens to American citizens.

Mexican National ID'd In 1983 Slaying Of Girl, 8

LOS ANGELES (CBS) Detectives plan to file charges Tuesday against a Mexican national in the killing of an 8-year-old Los Angeles girl in 1983 after a DNA match linked him to the case.

Los Angeles police homicide Detective Luis Rivera says a Mexican national named Luis Garcia Villalvazo, now 69, killed Victoria Denise Brown on March 9, 1983.

Witnesses told police that Victoria was walking home from school when she was abducted by a man driving a blue van. The next day, her body was found in an abandoned car in Wilmington, 16 miles from the scene of the kidnapping.

The murder file was reviewed in November 2009. Detectives found the DNA evidence left by the killer at the crime scene had not been entered into the national database. Garcia Villalvazo was subsequently identified as the killer.

Garcia Villalvazo is a resident of the Mexican state of Sonora, and is currently serving a 92-year prison sentence in Mexico for the murder of a 7-year-old girl in the border town of Ciudad Juarez.

He was also convicted of sexually assaulting three other girls in the same city during a nine month period from September 2004 to May 2005, police said.

Police will present statements from detectives who worked the case, copies of lab reports and other information from the murder file to the D.A.'s office.

Rivera said the D.A.'s office will file a request for extradition, and will likely waive the death penalty in the case. Mexico will not extradite citizens to the United States if they face execution.

10 years ago today, Dustin Inman was killed by an illegal alien

June 16,2010

On June 16, 2000, the Inman family, Kathy, husband Billy and son Dustin, 16, headed-off for a weekend of fishing in the mountains of northern Georgia. What promised to be a great Father’s Day weekend, turned out to be a nightmare that in an instant, forever shattered the Inman family.

While the Inmans were stopped at a red light in Ellijay, Georgia, a car driven by Mexican national Gonzalo Harrell-Gonzalez crashed into the rear end of the family’s car. Police estimated that he was traveling at a speed of 62 mph when he hit their car.

Dustin was killed instantly and his parents were both rendered unconscious. Kathy spent the next five weeks in a coma, and the last ten years in a wheelchair.

Due to their injuries, Billy and Kathy were not only robbed of their only son, but of attending his funeral as well.

Kathy suffered severe spinal damage and is still undergoing corrective surgeries. She requires the care of an in-home nurse.

Immediately following the accident, Harrell-Gonzalez escaped police custody while at a local hospital. In his absence, a Gilmer County Georgia grand jury indicted the illegal alien on charges of vehicular homicide and serious injury by a vehicle.

He remained on the run until 2005, when he was arrested by police officers in Birmingham, AL.

Despite his illegal status, Harrell-Gonzalez obtained a valid North Carolina driver’s license by using a Mexican Matricula Consular card at the North Carolina DMV.

Following Dustin’s untimely death, his family and friends began the Dustin Inman Society, to educate the public on the dangers posed by illegal aliens, and to put pressure on public officials to defend our borders and enforce immigration laws.

The following is an excerpt from the group’s mission statement:

“Our unequivocal mission is to end illegal immigration, illegal employment, the illegal administration and granting of Public Benefits and services through the equal application of existing laws. Additionally, we are proud to successfully advocate for and offer expert, experienced advice on crafting state and local legislation aimed at impeding illegal immigration.

Because of very limited resources, the Dustin Inman Society is primarily focused on the state of Georgia, where we are based. We are very proud of our success in assisting in the passage of numerous pieces of state and local legislation that have proven to discourage illegal immigration in Georgia.

We are particularly proud of our success in our now more than three-year education program and public advocacy for the proliferation of 287(g) agreements between County Sheriffs in Georgia and the federal government.”

D.A. King, founder and president of the group started the organization at the request of Dustin’s parents, and did so with funds from his own pocket.

King recently said:“Billy Inman will tell you that he blames his federal and state government for his son's death more than he blames the illegal alien who killed him. No one should have to suffer the mental and physical agony these fine folks have been enduring for ten years.”

The Inman family will observe the 10th anniversary of Dustin's death with a candlelight vigil at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 16, at the Rolling Hills Memory Gardens Cemetery, 4355 Highway 92, Acworth GA 30102.

Anyone who wishes to show their support for the family is encouraged to attend.

A fund has been started to aid the Inman family in Kathy’s ongoing and expensive care. Anyone wishing to donate to the fund may do so at any Regions Bank branch in Georgia, through The Inman Family Fund.

For these officers murdered by illegal aliens, there will never be another Father's Day

June 20,2010

On Father’s Day, most of us reflect on good times spent with our dads, and many of us enjoy the day with our own children. However, for some, this day evokes the painful memory that their father or son who protected their community was killed by someone who should have never been in this country.

In short, these were deaths that would not have occurred if our federal government took seriously the defense our borders.
Please take a moment to remember these fallen police officers:

-Deputy Loren Lily, Cobb County Sheriff’s Department
On December 31, 2006, illegal alien Joel Camacho Perea drove into Dep. Lily’s path on Powder springs Rd., hitting and killing him. Perea then fled the scene, he was later captured and charged with hit-and-run and vehicular homicide.

Dep. Lily, 41 who was an 18 year veteran of the Cobb County Sheriff’s Dept. had only been married to his wife Jamie for four months when he was killed. He left behind his wife and two godchildren.

-Deputy Brian Tephord, Broward County Sheriff’s Department
On November 12, 2006, Dep. Tephord made a routine traffic stop, while sitting in his patrol car, running the suspects’ information when Bahamian nationals Andre Delancey and Bernard Forbes opened fire on him. Dep. Tehord was taken to the hospital, where he died an hour later.

Delancey was arrested in 2004 on gun charges and should have been deported, but was allowed to remain in the U.S.
Dep. Tephord, 34 left behind a wife and three young children.

-Officer Tony Zeppetella, Oceanside Police Department
On June 13, 2003, previously deported gang member Adrian Camacho shot Officer Zeppetella 13 times during a routine traffic stop. Camacho received the death penalty for the murder.

Officer Zeppetella, 27 had been on the job for only one year when he was killed, and left behind a wife and a 6-month-old son.

Why doesn’t Obama sue San Francisco?

July 8, 2010
Immigration Reform Examiner
Dave Gibson

On Tuesday, the Justice Department filed a lawsuit in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals against the state of Arizona, alleging that SB1070 violates federal immigration law. The feds are also seeking an injunction to prevent the law from taking effect, as scheduled on July 29.

While the Obama administration claims the lawsuit is necessary because immigration enforcement is solely the domain of the federal government, they have yet to object to the many so-called ‘sanctuary cities’ around the country.

Locally elected officials in these sanctuary cities enact their own policies to protect criminal aliens from deportation, by not allowing police departments to report the illegal immigration status of an arrestee to federal authorities. This policy often shields dangerous criminals and allows them to return to the streets, rather than to their own country of origin.

These local policies violate and interfere with federal law, and undoubtedly lead to more crime and encourage illegal immigration, by laying out the welcome mat to those who choose to sneak into this country.

However, the Justice Department has been strangely silent on the issue of ’sanctuary cities’ and the responsibility they have in this country’s growing illegal alien population.

One such city which seems to take great pride in flaunting U.S. immigration law, while aiding and abetting even the most violent of illegal aliens is San Francisco.

In San Francisco, on June 22, 2008, three members of the Bologna family were gunned down by Salvadoran national and gang member Edwin Ramos. Tony Bologna, 48, and his sons Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16 were shot to death by Ramos as they sat in their car on a crowded street, in the city´s Excelsior District

Ramos who is a member of the notoriously violent drug gang known as MS-13, shot the Bologna family to death because Tony Bologna had temporarily blocked the car in which Ramos was traveling, as the two cars made their way through an intersection. The Bologna men were returning home from a family barbecue.

Though an illegal alien, as a juvenile, Ramos committed felony attempted robbery and assault, but was never deported.

Shortly after the shooting, the San Francisco Chronicle reported, Juvenile Probation Department officials did not report Ramos to federal immigration authorities for possible deportation because of San Francisco´s stated sanctuary policy.

What are we to make of a President who has no problem allowing American families to be gunned down in the streets of their own cities, but goes to court to protect illegal aliens?

Of course, the Obama administration will never take legal action against San Francisco, nor against any other city which gives sanctuary to illegal aliens. Nor does Obama care about the rule of law, the current White House occupant is suing Arizona solely for political reasons.

Of course, Obama is betting not only his own political future, on amnesty, but that of the Democratic Party as well. In this nation’s illegal alien population, he sees millions of new voters.

Officer Stephanie Mohr…a forgotten victim of illegal immigration

July 23, 2010
Immigration Reform Examiner
Dave Gibson

On the night of September 21, 1995, Prince George’s County Police Officer Stephanie Mohr was on patrol in Takoma Park, Maryland, when her and her partner Sgt. Anthony Delozier, got a call to provide backup to another officer who was responding to a burglary at a business.

When they arrived on the scene, two suspects, Ricardo Mendez and Herrera Cruz were exiting the roof of the business. Mendez and Cruz, both illegal aliens, were yelling back and forth to one another in Spanish.

The first responding officer told the two to face the wall. Mendez reportedly made a motion as if he was going to run. That’s when Mohr, a K-9 officer, released Valk, her German Shepherd.
Valk bit Mendez on the leg and held him while he was placed in handcuffs.

Both Mendez and Cruz were charged with 4th degree burglary. Cruz pled guilty and was deported back to Mexico. In addition to immigration violations, Mendez was convicted of selling crack cocaine and deported to El Salvador.

The incident was just another in a typically tough day for the Prince Georges police officer.

Then, five years later, the U.S. Department of Justice indicted Mohr for violating Ricardo Mendez’s civil rights.

The jury voted 11-1 to acquit Mohr, and the proceeding ended in a mistrial. However, the federal government tried her again, this time, even flying Mendez from El Salvador, and Cruz from a jail cell in Texas to testify against her.

In the second trial, the prosecution team painted Mohr as a racist, and this time they got a conviction. She was sentenced to 10 years in prison for violating the civil rights of an illegal alien drug dealer.

In August 2002, Mohr was taken to prison, where she remains today. Her release date is November 27, 2011. At the time she began serving her sentence, her son, Adam, who she was raising on her own, was 4-years-old.

We are all familiar with the persecution of Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, after they pursued and shot an illegal alien drug smuggler. The two spent two years in federal prison after the Justice Department prosecuted them.

Of course, there are many other officers who have been unfairly prosecuted for denying illegal aliens their ‘civil right,’ usually on the orders of the Mexican government. But few have heard the sad story of Stephanie Mohr.

Listen to the toll illegal aliens are taking on Americans, as told by one of the victims

In February 2009, in Omaha, Nebraska, illegal alien drunk driver Romero Garcia, 51, plowed his van into a car being driven by Jasmine Linscott, her sister Elizabeth was sitting in the passenger seat. Both girls were taken to the hospital, with Elizabeth’s injuries requiring the most treatment, racking up thousands in medical bills.

Garcia was charged with DUI, failure to yield, and no insurance.

The good news is that both young women survived, the bad news is that with their car totaled, their mom, Trish Linscott, not only had to buy another car, but continue making payments on the one which was destroyed by Garcia.

Her insurance did not pay the full amount of her loan, and a judge declared Garcia “indigent,” basically freeing him from any financial restitution to the family.

A much worse story, also taking place in Omaha, took place a few months later, in May, when illegal alien Eleazar Rangel-Ochoa ran a red light and smashed into the Bluhm family’s vehicle. The accident resulted in the death of 4-year-old Josie Bluhm.

Rangel-Ochoa had four prior DUI’s and was driving on a suspended license.

In September 2009, Rangel-Ochoa pleaded no contest to vehicular homicide.

Suspect in teen's slaying was deported twice
One of the men held in girl's death was removed after driving intoxicated

Aug. 13, 2010

As she made arrangements Thursday to bury her 14-year-old daughter, Keisha Lambert learned that the suspected gunman in the teenager's killing had been previously deported twice from the U.S.

"It's not right that he came back a third time," Lambert said.

Melvin Alvarado, 22, was convicted of two separate intoxicated driving offenses in Harris County in 2005 and 2007, criminal records show. He was sentenced to 60 days in jail in connection with the last conviction in November 2007.

Gregory Palmore, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesman in Houston, said immigration officials removed Alvarado from the country in April 2008 and again in May 2009. Palmore said it was unclear from his records whether Alvarado was picked up directly from Harris County Jail after the last intoxicated driving conviction.

The second suspect in the fatal shooting of Shatavia Anderson on Saturday, Jonathan Lopez-Torres, 18, was a lawful permanent resident from Honduras, Palmore said. According to Harris County records, Lopez-Torres was arrested and accused of auto theft in February 2009. That charge was later dismissed.

Alvarado and Lopez-Torres were charged on Wednesday with capital murder in the slaying of Anderson, who was known as "Tae" to her friends and family. They were being held without bail in Harris County Jail.

Victim's family angry that hit-run driver still in U.S.

By Christian Boone and Andria Simmons
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

An illegal immigrant who has been arrested five times for driving offenses, including a hit-and-run that ultimately left an elderly Dacula man dead, was back in court in Gwinnett County last week.

The family of Aubrey Sosebee, whom Celso Campo-Duartes was convicted of running over in 2005, wonders why the Mexican plumber is still in the United States.

“He shouldn’t have even been on the road, let alone this country,” said Gary Sosebee, one of the man’s sons.

Sosebee’s family believed Campo-Duartes would be sent back to Mexico after serving time on the hit-and-run charge.

The Sosebees received a letter from the Gwinnett County district attorney’s office informing them that Campo-Duartes was due back in court for a probation violation hearing.

“What’s he still doing in this country?” asked Sosebee, 55.“That’s what we want to know.”

Sosebee said his father, who had gone to retrieve the mail when he was run over, spent his last few months in a hospital bed, being fed by a tube. He was 83 when he died.

Gwinnett County Assistant District Attorney Rich Vandever said he routinely sees illegal immigrants pass through the system and back again.

“We deal with it every day,” Vandever told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.“It really shows how the state’s hands are tied.”

Campo-Duartes served a little more than two years in the Gwinnett County Detention Center after he was arrested in October 2005 for serious injury by vehicle, driving without a license, driving without insurance, and having a tag from another vehicle on his car in the Sosebee case. He was not able to afford bond, according to court records, and spent the next 26 months behind bars.

Campo-Duartes initially rejected entering a guilty plea because the judge told him he risked deportation. According to the court transcript, the magistrate judge asked him if he understood the ramifications of pleading guilty, and Campo-Duartes said he did not. The case was set for trial at an undetermined date.

In the meantime, Campo-Duartes wrote Superior Court Judge Timothy Hamill, explaining that he has a wife, three children and a 60-year-old mother for whom he is the primary provider. The letter did not specify if the family was in Georgia or in Mexico. In his absence, he said, the family had lost their house and car and was in dire need of food.

In January 2008, he entered a negotiated plea to a charge of failure to stop at or return to the scene of an accident and was sentenced to two years in prison and three years of probation. Campo-Duartes was released for time served. It wouldn’t be long before he was back in police custody.

One year ago Saturday, he was arrested for driving without a license and released the same day on $760 bond. In October, he was arrested on the same charge. This time, an immigration hold was placed on him, meaning no bond could be issued. Nonetheless, according to jail records, Campo-Duartes was released eight days later.

Those arrests came before the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department began participating in the 287(g) program — a partnership with the federal government that trains deputies to identify illegal immigrants in the county jail, then hand them over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)for possible deportation.

Media Silence Deafening: Chere Murdered By Illegal Alien Parolee

September 15, 2010

The late Chere Osmanhodzic's name must now be added to the long list of innocent American citizens whose murder could have and would have been prevented if our government had simply enforced immigration laws already on the books.

The man who assaulted her, murdered her, and set her body on fire to hide his crime, was an illegal alien from Mexico named Omar Armando Loera. He was on parole, and has a long felony record. He shouldn't have been on parole. He should have been in prison for the crimes he committed, including the crime of re-entering the country illegally after having been deported twice.

What makes this story even creepier is that almost all of the media reports omit to mention the fact that the murderer was an illegal alien.

If you do a Google search for "Valley Village woman murder suspect," you get over 61,600 "results." But as soon as you add the words "alien" or "immigrant," the number of stories drops tremendously.
