<quoted text>Sorry but it lends itself to all mediums, if you were a yankee you'd apreciate it. But illegals have nothing to do with the currents ecomomic straights we find ourselves in now, you can look to DC for that, not central America. I look forward to the voting of so called illegals to help turn the tide against this me first country.
wow-- you really practice what you post dont you?

This country would still be a few tribes if it wasn't for immigrants. The problem is the legal path is almost impossible to achieve.

wtf are you talking about?

Try as I might (and I didn't try that hard), I can't gather any sympathy for these people. I can here from Canada and did it the legal way. I'm now a citizen. The USCIS makes a HUGE deal out of any applicant being honest and law abiding. They even want to know about anything you've done that you haven't been caught doing.
It makes me angry, after spending twelve years and lots of time and money to become a citizen, that these people are getting a free ride. You want to move the the USA? Great! Go get a skill that is in demand and then do things according to the law. Every legal immigrant to this county has just been slapped in the face and been made a mockery of.
Are you here illegally? If so, you're a criminal. Go to jail or go home. Stop whining. What did you expect? A parade?

Go to Mexico illegally and see what the hell happens. Another example of the cry baby liberals that INFEST Charlottesville. I CANNOT understand how these liberals can accept their tax dollars going to support people who can't or won't go through the process. Well, you get what you paid for, but the problem is I am paying for it as well and I resent my tax dollars being collected much less given away. Further, I don't really care what your side of the story is as I have given to my community and continue to give of myself to my community as well as a great portion of Central Virginia. So save your retort to this as I deal with these people and every other manner of problems on a daily, weekly and monthly time line. Those who support this concept don't engage in the raw truth as those of us that do, and therefore your world stays ever glowing because you just don't see it or for that matter, you just don't get it!

Without reading any of the first 26 comments, all I can say is that if people want to live in the US and reap the benefits citizens have, they need to follow the rules, enter the country legally, live and work or go to school, legally. Just follow the rules. So many people come here following the rules and become citizens after a long process learning about our country's history, I wonder how they feel about doing all that hard work and then seeing someone who didn't follow the rules get the same benefits? Why do people who come here illegally feel they should be afforded the same benefits? Everyone calls them illegal, doesn't that mean that a law or rule has been broken and there should be a punishment?

Am I the only one who noticed someone brought a "HONK if you..." sign to the downtown mall? Did he expect people to make honking sounds as they walked by?

Read your posts! The first step is to admit their is a problem. Earlier today you commented on the post about the job fair. You made a statement about "hiring the white person." I replied to it, but your post and my reply has been deleted. I don't falsely bring race into the subject unless it is obvious.
You are the one wanting to stand on the border mowing down people crossing the border with a gun. Shooting people would also make you a felon. There is no difference!

Two dozen, maybe--and this is NEWS? Families are not "forced to be split up because of our laws." If anyone chooses to enter another country illegally, they choose a life of crime. This was their CHOICE. How is it that we owe illegals who steal our limited amount of resources ANYTHING? Respect our laws and become a citizen LEGALLY. Where's the compassion for those who are still waiting--and RESPECTED our laws?

How are they afforded the same benefits? One might argue they work harder and receive less benefit.

Have you ever considered why neither party really seems that interested in addressing the real issue? It's myopic and puerile to scream and cry about it, it's another thing to try to find the root cause of it. Labor is the most expensive market in just about any business. Jesus has nothing on the Benjamins.

Isn't it ironic that Gov Micky D gave them a huge tax break on their lawmower gas, asking legals to share the burden? Illegals pay the same sales tax, but not income tax.

Do you guys know you're on the national immigration forum? Just wondering?.....So you had another "speed bump" rally in Charlottesville, with dozens. I have a friend who's a border patrol agent, who was sent to northern Va, along with others, with about 100,000 arrest warrants for illegal aliens. He was confident they'd get 80,000.....and you had dozens....

Immigration happens, how we address it is the question. Obviously we haven't addressed it well as a nation, for a variety of reasons. But it always seems cuious that the ones who screem the loudest, are the first to take advantage of it, cheap labor that is.
