“Nothing represents how special America is more than our middle class. And our challenge and our opportunity now is to create the conditions that allow it not just to survive, but to grow,” said Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.)

The GOP plan promises $2.2 trillion in deficit savings over the next decade, including $800 billion from tax reform,$600 billion from Medicare reforms and other health savings and $600 billion in other spending cuts, House Republican leadership aides said. It also pledges $200 billion in savings by revising the consumer price index, a measure of inflation.

Their plan offered Monday proposed $800 billion in deficit savings through tax reform, including an unspecified amount of revenue raised by eliminating tax deductions and loopholes.

The Republican proposal "includes nothing new and provides no details on which deductions they would eliminate, which loopholes they will close or which Medicare savings they would achieve."

Exacltly, it's the same stupid plan Romney was endorsing with NO specifics.

All the cuts and reforms come directly from the middle class and poor.

Teabaggers refuse to believe, they LOST.

"This afternoon at the White House, the President met with influential progressives to talk about the importance of preventing a tax increase on middle class families, strengthening our economy and adopting a balanced approach to deficit reduction," Earnest said in a statement Tuesday.

NEW YORK Eight conservative columnists visited the White House yesterday to interview George W. Bush, and heard the president once again defend his Iraq War policies.

"(T)there are people out there that would like nothing more than to have another spectacular moment by killing the American people," Bush told the columnists, according to a transcript posted on U.S. News & World Report magazine's Web site. "And they're coming.... That's why we need to be on the offense all the time. Iraq is the central part of this global war right now."

Columnists in attendance -- according to Michael Barone of U.S. News and Creators Syndicate -- included Barone, Tony Blankley of The Washington Times and Creators, Lawrence Kudlow of CNBC and Creators, Kathleen Parker and Charles Krauthammer of the Washington Post Writers Group, Daniel Henninger of The Wall Street Journal, Mark Steyn of the Chicago Sun-Times, and Byron York of National Review.

September 18, 2006

In a September 16 posting on his weblog, nationally syndicated radio host Neal Boortz wrote that he had been invited to "the West Wing of the White House" for a "30-minute meeting with the President in the Oval Office [which] turned into 90 minutes." Boortz added that the "other invitees were [conservative radio hosts] Sean Hannity, Mike Gallagher, Michael Medved and Laura Ingraham." As the weblog Think Progress noted, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported in a September 17 posting on its website that conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh has been invited to the meeting but could not attend.

The only thing in their future is losing to whomever the Democratic candidate is… and if it’s for President, then let me be the first to say: Hillary Clinton will be our 45th President.

The GOP will not see the inside of the White House for a couple of generations… mark my words.

Shouldn’t you be posting those credible Rasmussen and Gallup numbers of the President’s job approval ratings? Or better yet, post fox news ratings and showing how they numbers translate into winning at the ballot box for the GOP, LOL.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!

Karl Rove's familiar 2012 presence on Fox News appears to be coming to a halt.

New York Magazine reports that President Roger Ailes is limiting Rove and fellow contributor Dick Morris' presences for the time being. A Fox News representative affirmed the situation to NYMag, adding that programming chief Bill Shine conveyed "the election's over."

Morris drew similar attention for his prediction that GOP candidate Mitt Romney was headed to a landslide victory. New York Magazine's report notes that Shine is requiring producers to ask for approval before lining up any Rove or Morris appearances.

“According to multiple Fox sources,” writes Sherman,“Ailes has a directive to his staff: He wants the faces associated with the election off the air – for now. For Karl Rove and Dick Morris – a pair of pundits perhaps most closely aligned with Fox’s anti-Obama campaign – Ailes’ orders mean new rules. Ailes’ deputy, Fox News programming chief Bill Shine, has sent out orders mandating that producers must get permission before booking Rove or Morris.”

Maybe they could join Ted over at the Washington Times.

They could carpool.

In a Hummer of course.

Poor teabaggers.

The republicants are going to have to do a heckuva lot more than having a few women and/or non-white folks standing behind those "typical white old men of the gopher party" as they speak their "Party of Effing No" nonsense.

I agree. Americans no longer aspire to having Quality leaders. We prefer social engineers who are agenda mad marxist socialist orwellians now. We prefer failure to any hope for future success. We are only Obama Nation now and must lower our expectations for Quality out comes for America's non union middle class. Many of them actually voted to destroy their own future. Very sad.

They have been doing that for decades.

These same people voted for Reagan.

TWICE.

Voted for the Bush's.

All THREE times.

And McCain

And Romney.

And too stupid to relize they voted against their own interest.

Is that why you elected Bush twice to "social engineer" the future of Iraqis ballooning the debt to TRILLIONS of dollars which is STILL unpaid for today? Quit your whining. YOU caused it. YOU voted to "destroy [your] own future" over a decade ago. Did you really think you would never have to pay the Bush GOP war debt down? That it would magically disappear? The bill has come in. It's time for YOU to pay the piper for electing Bush. Twice.

America voted and spoke in a clear voice. We want mediocracy and prefer equal out comes to equal opportunities. We need Pelosi and Obama to lead us into the abyss. We need Big Brothers infinite wisdom to control every aspect of our families pitiful little lives.
In today's busy World, we surrendered because we just don't have the time (or, the motivation) to put in the effort and energy to raise our children to amount to anything.

My company has just announced a big round of layoffs for Janurary 2013. Any specific tips on how to spunge off the government for the next 4 years?

I've been working full time for the last 25 years. I'm tired of getting up at 4am and working 'til dark, missing family events and paying 30%+ tax rates so that others don't have to. I'm ready to join the party. Dual 6 figure incomes are nothing but a target for hypertension. Where do I start? How can get a gig writing liberal propaganda here on Topix?

Funny. Four more years of this dismal economy and Obama is Herbert Hoover. He gave us "more of the same" by keeping Bush's high unemployment rates (double digits with blacks and hispanics), with an ever growing national debt financed by communist China and the Islamist Saudis, with more of Bush's government bailouts and we are not only still in Iraq and Afghanistan but we are undermining nationalist regimes throughout the Moslem world in support of the religious nutters in the street. Obama is nothing but a Bush clone. Look at how he is using alleged wmds in Syria now as a pretext to...

The only idea he did not borrow from Bush is Obomneycare... and the former governor of Massachusetts came up with that.

Not a dime's worth of difference really. Barack Obama is just a more sickly pallid looking version of George Bush.
