What about the people who have oustanding deportation orders? Are they going to benefit too? Also its says they will go through background check to to see if they have criminal record, what about hise who have civil complaint records?

those opposing need to start off with some action from all the last shamnesties, being a few of the dems pushing this have been part on the others and have yet to follow through with the enforcement parts since 86.

a nice show of force like enforcing the federal felony of helping an illegal alien stay in the country.have to look it up yet think it even covers agencies who do it.

There is so much more involved into this than simply giving Mexicans, Hondoran,s etc. amnesty. I just heard on PBS, the chain migration instrument must be reversed so this won't continue. How many third World people do you know that will pay America money? How many will learn civic's and English? I am loving watching the people here worrying their heads off about this. It's way bigger in the media than it will be in reality. Asians want to go home to China and begin improving their Society, Mexicans won't learn English or qualify because of criminal backgrounds.Let's all calm down. For now.

If you notice. They keep talking about CIR, but all they ever talk about is a pathway to citizenship.

they also leave out all the crime done by illegal aliens and when pointing to the prison population say there is more citizens than illegals in jail, while fulling knowing there will be more citizens being there is more citizens than illegal aliens.

have you seen how many illegal aliens are in ca prisons, a huge % of the population?

I guess the most dominant changes I've seen in Utah in the last 2 year's are the beggars. I've seen more on freeway exit's than I've ever seen before, but what's worse is that they're all white. Women and Men. Don't get me wrong Tom, I hate the crime wave they've brought into the Country, but also the job's that unskilled and skilled Americans have lost. These Senators don't have the right to decide anything on behalf of us, but unfortunatly we have zero choice. We don't agree whatsoever with this shamnesty, but what can we do?I've seen this great Country turn into a toilet. I picked up a prescription at Walmart today. There were nothing but ,Asian, Latinos and every other race in the world. Maybe three or 4 whites. No blacks. We have been overrun here just as you have in California. I Don't even recognize this Country anymore.

As long as they don't have the right to get welfare or other type of social help there should not be a problem for any American. In fact by giving them papers America would get more tax payers.

Since this is a bipartisan project I don't see why passing though the House would be an issue.

can't give up. i been pushing against this for decades, sure it is frustrating to see how those in office have failed the country, just have to have hope they will wake up and turn into Americans for Americans as they once was. funny before all this mass invasion we was on top of the world on every level. then again we still must be tops or so many would try to con their way in.

In case you guys didn't know : America is all about business and for the actual business this form of amnesty is better than deportation.

I haven't heard any word about birthright citizenship, yet they claim they will not be able to get welfare. What about those families who have American-born? They are already tapping into the free social programs, so they are not going to achieve much in this area. The border was not sealed after the '86 mistake, and now this is again being touted as the LAST time this will be dealt with. How many "last times" will we see in a lifetime?) How many more will flood in, how will they ensure that fraud isn't rampant on their apps, because apprently they are pretty good at perpetrating fraud to be able to stay as long as they have...illegally?

It is impossible to seal such a long border and don't forget there's also water on both sides of the border. The border has been more secure due to huge improvement in technology in the last 20 years so comparing this law with what happened in '86 really shows that people don't look at all the facts.

the businesses that use illegal labor will replace them if they get amnesty with more illegal aliens. the whole reason is not they work better than others it is about working cheaper than others.

anyone who thinks giving amnesty will not have these folks changing lines of work needs to think again. states like ca already train farmworkers to get out of that trade and flood another job market which also keeps wages down by the shear numbers.

fact is it has never been attempted, has always been a halfhearted effort. the old nod and wink look the other way is why we have so many illegal aliens now.

inorder to stop this an all out effort has to be used,we came very close right after the 9-11 attacks then we let up again instead of pushing harder.
