if there is even ONE American out of work or in need, we shouldn't even be allowing work visas for foreigners. PERIOD.

MOST if not ALL other countries reserve their jobs for their own people, why shouldn't we do the same?

where is the logic of allowing foreigners to compete for OUR jobs in the usa when there is double digit unemployment?

the answer.. there isn't any logic to it.

frankly, I think the work visa program should be stopped for now until all americans who want to work are back to work. PERIOD.

for those 2 million farm jobs that "americans don't want to do", yeah, I don't think it would hurt to allow some foreigners to come in and REGISTER for those jobs. do 90 day notices like they require for foreigners who are GUESTS in Thailand.

do you want to know what happened to me when I tried to get work as an IT person in SEVERAL foreign countries? I went in for a job interview wearing a suit, and they didn't even bother to greet me.

THAT'S THE REALITY OF TRYING TO GET A JOB IN OTHER COUNTRIES.

and here we are in the usa.. our government is OUTSOURCING all our jobs and factories.

unbelievable.

It's not surprising that a turd paper like USA for sale would publish a turd article like this. USA for sale is too stupid to realize that the middle class is onto its lying ways. People realize that 90% of the things written in the USA for sale are totally bogus, agenda driven, payoffs for their advertisers.

Critics Charge 'Alarming Mismanagement' at Foreign-Student Job Program

A fast-growing foreign-student work program is taking jobs from U.S. citizens, while its “alarming mismanagement” poses a national security threat, critics charge.

I have noticed that some of you feel this work program should stop because there are US workers who don't have jobs. THE PROBLEM HERE IS THAT THE MAJORITY OF PERSONS ON UNEMPLOYMENT DO NOT WANT TO WORK!! THE AMERICAN PEOPLE THAT WANT TO WORK ALREADY HAVE JOBS. I post the jobs in the US and hardly get any inquires or should I say serious inquiries. A large amount of applicants that I do get in the US want weekends off and to work only the hours they choose. This is not someone who wants to work. We have made it too easy for them to sit back and collect off the working people. Granted there are individuals who are down on their luck from time to time and do have to receive unemployment, food stamps, etc. but do not abuse the system. I would help those people in a minute myself. Its pretty sad that I do have to look in other places for workers because the so many of the ones receiving benefits in the US are just too happy to do just that....COLLECT....sit back and let the ones who make an honest living pay their way. If we can't get the workers just what do you expect us to do?? This so saddens me...when I was much younger and found work I felt very fortunate to have that work and appreciated it very much. I didn't question the hours I worked or the days off. You worked whatever they wanted you to and were so happy to have a good paying job. You adjusted your home life to accommodate the job. I think its time the US made the US People accountable and responsible for themselves. People could be proud of themselves and their country.
