The Republicans will agree to the extension if they can pay for it with cuts elsewhere. There has been too much so called emergency spending, the democrats could care less about being irresponsible. The best was when the inept in chief said during his vomitfest (speech) that extending these benefits will create jobs. Is he nuts? Only a liberal would think that you could spend your way into prosperity. I say deport all leeching criminals (illegals) and restore military benefits Immediately!

"Specifically, this report calculates a price tag of $200 billion to enforce a federal dragnet that would snare the estimated 10.8 million undocumented immigrants in the United States over five years. That amount, however, does not include the annual recurring border and interior enforcement spending that will necessarily have to occur. It would cost taxpayers at least another $17 billion annually (in 2008 dollars) to maintain the status quo at the border and in the interior, or a total of nearly $85 billion over five years. That means the total five-year immigration enforcement cost under a mass deportation strategy would be approximately $285 billion."

You can't put a price on law and order. It isn't only migrant workers coming here but criminals and terrorists also. Try putting a price tag on that.

Those advocating deportation of "anchors," especially those whose parental line anchored here from Europe, should consider self-deporting, to borrow a term coined by Mitt Romney, as a public service.

They seem conveniently unaware that Europeans didn't really discover America, but only the Americans who were here to greet them, since it happens that "we the people" are the real "illegals" and those they consider illegals are the real Americans.

But to be big, we should welcome "we the people" in America too. After all, it's nice to share.

There is no need to round up illegal aliens en masse Remove all incentives for them to remain here or to continue to come here such as jobs, benefits and birthright citizenship. Most would leave on their own. There are no costs in self-deportations. As for protecting our borders that will always be necessary for the obvious reasons.

Shall we stop enforcing our laws against Americans because afterall those costs are enormous also?

We are referring to the leeching criminals that blatantly violated our immigration laws, and who commit more crimes. You have heard of the violent gang MS-13? According to ICE 85% of these thugs they arrested are illegal. " We The People " do not welcome violent criminals that leech off taxpayers!!!!

The term "revisionist" does not apply documented history. Europeans rowed ashore uninvited into the Americas. All they discovered was that there were already people here. Nevertheless, they lived under the illusion that America, and of course the Americans whom they'd discovered, were their's for the taking — and take they did, staking claim to the Americans' land and pushing them aside onto "reservations."

At any rate, that's what actually happened, like it or not. If "we the people" wish to rewrite well-documented history, only Faux Views would condescend to spreading such revisionist fiction. To carry that off they'd also need to scoff at the MST (main stream textbooks), but I doubt that would be a problem.

They need to leave, there will be no amnesty.I dont care if we need to put military on the ground.we have borders for a reason.if the president didnt invite them, we would not be having a problem to this degree.after the things I have seen these people do.I dont want them here.we are not going to deport americans so they can stay.so they have to leave.

Oh stop being a drama king/queen. Most illegals coming here aren't escaping any of that. If that were true they would be claiming a refugee status. Any excuse to violate our borders and rape the U.S. taxpayer though, right?

Then that would include the Spanish, right? You know, those ancestors of the Mexicans, lol! The Europeans weren't met with hostility. It was only after they reached critical mass that conflict broke out between them. There were no immigration laws back then. We were a wide open frontier ripe for the taking by the strongest. As for the descendants of the tribes that were indigenous to "this" country they are all full fledged U..S.citizens today and they aren't required to live on any reservations even though they have them.

All that is past history so why are you whining about it to those of us alive today that played no role in the past? Those people on both sides are all dead now! We have treaties with their descendants. The tribal ancestors of the Mexicans didn't settle in this country they settled south of our border and therefore their descendants have no claims on the U.S. Deal with it, whiner!

The language of wet backs and their supporters is NOT Spanish, it is LIES. It will not cost billions to rid this country of the illegal alien parasites that have infested this country. Fine and imprison their employers, refuse them cell phone service (can be done by executive order), throw their bastard children out of the schools, etc. We CAN make it so tough on these vermin they WILL live on their own. Remember, they are cowards. COWARDS. As soon as the pressure starts, they will flee like roaches when you turn on the kitchen lights. No one should believe you, you lying piece of shit, or La Raza piece of shit. The wet backs are GONE. FINISHED. DONE. Your vile, vulgar and violent culture will be excised. Get out, you lying, cheating, stealing subhuman scum. GFY!
