A couple of years ago I was returning from Japan and Lou Reed was on the flight. I did not even know he was on the flight until I saw him at baggage claim in NY. We were just about the only Americans on the plane so that gave me the opening to chat him up. He seemed OK.
After I got my bags I was walking through customs and Lou was in front of me. The Customs agent was a young girl. Probably about 25. She stopped Lou and asked to see his passport and he got quite testy and was asking her why she wanted it. She said she just had to check who he was. Lou blew up and started asking "you don't know who I am? She said no. He showed his passport and stomped off. The poor girl. When the coast was clear she asked me if that really was somebody.

You certainly have me beat when it comes to meeting rockers. I saw almost everybody you mentioned live, but did not meet too many of them. Joan Jett still lives in my area so I have seen a a few times in clubs over the years. I did meet the Ramones. We were lining up outside a club on Long Island to see them when Dee Dee popped out of a side door looking for illicit substances. We were standing right outside the door and he drafted us to find some. How could we say "no" after he invited us to hang? In later years Dee Dee was responsible for his own demise, but I always felt bad about Joey and Johnny. It is strange that they both died so young.

I get the feeling we were probably in some of the same clubs. Max's was great and so was CBGB's. I hope you added your graffiti to the rest rooms there. I certainly did. There also had concerts for a couple of years on one of the Hudson River piers. I think it was Pier 86. They were great. A couple of thousand headbangers stuffed onto a pier listening to punk rock. I saw the Ramones there as well as the Clash. Those were good shows.

Of course I know Ziggy Stardust.I even remember the concert movie.

They have jobs already and they will create more by starting businesses.
How about we deport the 11 million illegal aliens and give their jobs to the 14 million unemployed Americans.

Won't work. Those who hire illegal aliens hire 3 illegals to replace 2 Americans. They know illegals don't work as hard as Americans just a lot cheaper. Just go to any construction site that has illegals and you will see there are a lot more workers on site than at a job that hires Americans.

Even so, it could put half those 14 million unemployed back to work.

I don't think obama needs to personally appeal to become an immigrant. I am sure hundreds of millions of Americans would let him go to kenya and become an immigrant there.
