I'll tell how to identify illegal aliens, they are the ones without any papers. The ones who don't have a visa or valid visa, passport or greencard. Pretty simple.

Rubio says the proposed immigration reform is not an amnesty, so the headline on this thread is misleading.

It would be simple if not for that pesky little thing known as the Bill of Rights.

fourth amendment to the US constitution...

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

Oh Please! Even when our government knows who the illegal are they do nothing. Nobodys asking them to start asking people for papers for no reason. Even the government claims there are 11 million illegal aliens in the country. How do they know that, unless they know who they are?

-Pay for their monitoring
-pay fines and fees
-Wait until the border is secured. Wait until e-verified is adopted throughout the country.
-No benefits but continue to pay taxes
-Pay any previously due taxes with interest
-Learn english, US history, and US civics
-Remain employed, healthy, and clean police record throughout the wait estimated to be 13 years

and you take this to mean . you dont have to prove you are a US citizen ??? Or show Dl when stopped . to write acheck,to use your credit card . to look at an apt , to get a job,to get tickets Or searched at an airport to protect others on the plane . Im sure they dont care if a person wants to blow themselves up , but your not taking a plane of inocent people with you . our country is a larger "kill" zone . if you have a problem proving your a proud US citizen . Perhaps your in the wrong country . the gov knows everything about you already if your legal . WShat this means is they cant come and take your house or car apart without a reason and promission or a warrant . Becusea they dont have to put it back together and leave a big mess .

I might have to prove my citizenship should I request something from the government but the government cannot simply approach me for no reason whatsoever and demand that I prove something to them. As long as I am minding my own business and not committing a crime, I don't have to prove $hit to the government.
bob wrote:
<quoted text> Or show Dl when stopped .
There must be a reason for the authorities to stop me before they can stop me. Either on foot or in a motor vehicle, the government has no right to approach me unless they have a reasonable suspicion that a crime is being committed. They can't stop me just to see my papers. Well, they can but it would cost them because I'm the kind of guy who will sue the government entity that violates my civil rights.
bob wrote:

Nothing to do with the government. All things that deal with private enterprise. The ATM doesn't ask for ID. Only the card. That card could be a generic card purchased with cash at WalMart and not be traceable back to any individual. Many people use these types of instruments to keep their identity safe when purchasing online. Oh, and with the estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants living and working in the USA, it's obvious that you don't need ID for a job.
bob wrote:

Back when Airport security was a private enterprise, the fact that it wasn't the government doing the searches, it was not a violation of constitutional rights. It was a private business and if you didn't like it you shouldn't use that service. Now airport security is a government agency and so the line is clear. They cannot do what they are doing. Sure, the patriot act was written to allow it but any legislation that violates the constitution is unconstitutional so since the patriot act allows government searches without warrant, it is an unconstitutional law. Of course it won't be declared unconstitutional until it goes to the supreme court.

Our country is a target because our corporations are unethical in their business practices around the world. When they do wrong to people under the flag of our nation, our nation becomes the bad guy in the mind of the victims. The Bush administration was an unethical entity and it's members were unethical people. They have not been in office for four years and our nations reputation is getting better around the world.

The bill of rights is all about the individual right to be left alone. Mind you own business and the government has no right to bother you. If they do, they have violated your rights and you can sue.

Legal immigrants are required to carry their 'papers' at all times.
Carry proof of your permanent resident status at all times.

Why should illegals get a free ride?

Does Rubio really think all these folks are going to come running out of their barrios to become United States Citizens. The idea that the economy will improve is a scam. They won't come out, won't pay anything to the Country of there non origin. It's rediculous. Laughable....We're in a huge mess. 50 millions folks on food stamps in this country. That is disgusting. Truly gross. And I'm sure a huge percentage are illegal aliens. No job's here, go home, take care of you're own Country. Better chance of living a normal life in your homeland. No more room in the INN....

the only reason is so they cant be caught . legal immigrants would be proud to show you their "papers" look !!!! im legal!!!!!!I asked promission and they let me in . i really dont seewhat the big deal is with citizens being pissed about it ???? Look Our government screwed up because "we the people " refused to take an interest in our country. Its ID . NOt a blood sample or DNA . At the libary you have to show ID to get a card . I do feel a little sorry for the Mexicans , but even they know they have the most illegals here. And they help bring in more .really dont expect them to help america get them out .

what freedom ??? The freedom to give you the change to prove you are a US citizen ??? When A person becauses a US citizen they get papers to prove it . then they can get a drivers license. and everything that comes with it . Its time we stop short changing the wonderful rights we can do as citizens . some states and some feds cheapin this by giving in to illegals. safegards are in place so that illegals could not be here or function here. They bend the rules. how do you feel about gun rights ????? that is our freedom . It really scares our government .

We as a people have subjugated ourselves to paying an intrusive government for permission to legally operate a piece of property that we have paid our hard earned money for and you claim that to be a "Wonderful Right"?

You are a brainwashed communist! I can buy and sell automobiles and operate them just fine without paying local, state or federal mafias.

It's puzzy a$$ scum like yourself that can't stand up for your personal freedom that forces the rest of us your fellow patriots to succumb to the brutal police state that requires license, registration and proof of insurance. FU all!!!

I prefer a free nation where the government works for us and not the other way around.

Actually, operating a motor vehicle isn't a right. It is a privilege and can be taken away from you at any time.

When you get arrested for having no license, no registration and no proof of insurance, you'll see just how quick you can lose that privilege.
