She is nut's.....they come in through all border's in 18 wheelers. How dense is she. I know trucker's that have known truckers that get paid by smugglers all the time. She's not talking to people who know anything. She's so interested in pleasing the dear leader, she hasn't done her homework... I hope Brewer and Joe give her a call about this one... Or ask the rancher's that have had their land destroyed everyday 365 days of the year by this crap. There will never be sealed borders until we enlist the Military and build better boundaries that are manned by drones 24/7. Just another Socialist getting remittances from Mexihell and corporations to keep the border open. What a joke.

coming from an official who told border patrol to run from armed invaders this is about the thing to expect.

why not use those new military vehicles guns and some of the ammo she bought and really secure the border.
it has not been tried and i would bet it would work 100%. we do have a right to protect the borders from invaders.

Of course she says that. It is her job to secure it. If there isn't anyway to measure the success or failure of it she is home free.
her failure and the lack of a secure border can be proven very easy, see an illegal aliens cross if caught or not the border is not secure. if he can cross it is wide open.

they dont want peopleto know the border is not secure but they are going to tell the people it is . Sounds just right. But seriously why does adumbo care if the illegal dems dont vote for him ? he cant run again . there is no reason for them to still be here unless he is gatting money from somewhere for keeping themj here . someone needs to find out . Maybe that will be impeachable.

We already know that this fool has lied to us, and has no real desire to secure the border. Somebody must be stuffing her pockets quite nicely to allow so many gaps in the border for illegals to pass through.

think of all the money if our gov would close our borders, between the dope money going out and that which illegal aliens send out it is quite a bit of change. getting out of nafta would help all the working class, which is now turning into the free movement of people instead of just products like was first said.we are importing poverty not prosperity

about the same as robbing a house and getting to keep what they stole. crime and support for illegal aliens seems to go together.

kind of like a gateway to a crime spree.

Sucks doesn't it? It is like the country is being driven by two maniacs and one controls the gas the other the brake and they are fighting for the steering wheel. Those of us who own the car are in the back seat.

"The U.S. border is as "secure as itís ever been,".

This is her exact quote. It doesn't mean she considers the border secure, just simply that data shows deportations are at a all-time high, and less illegal border crossings are being attempted.

"Border security is not somehow different than looking at the overall immigration system. They go together," Napolitano said. "We know the key driver, a key driver, is the demand for labor."

In other words, if everyone stops hiring illegal aliens, most of the incentive for illegal immigration will cease and the tide of illegals will decrease. Of course, on the flip side, Americans will start having to pay greatly increased prices for goods and services. A one night stay at Motel 6 will go from $45 to $80 so that American maids get the wage they "think" they deserve. A head of lettuce will go from $1.75 to $2.50, and on and on. Some will say, great, the cost is off-set by the reduction in social services for illegals. I ask, when is the last time, the government refunded citizens because of decreased cost of social services. The government will simply find other pork projects to spend the savings on. Average citizen is SOL.

"The secretary added that the United States needs to make legal immigration easier because the slow process provides a real incentive to cross illegally. "If you are going to be separated from your family for 10 years, and that happens way too often, or if you canít get the right kind of visa for 15 years," she said. "If you want to take pressure off the border, you actually have to look at the immigration system as a whole."

True. If it was much easier and quicker to immigrate legally, I submit they would be much less illegal aliens. They be legal taxpaying citizens instead. Kind of contradictory, yes, but think about it.

"We need a national e-verify or national system, so employers have a way to comply with immigration law," she said.

Hear, hear. E-verify needs to be made mandatory for all. No exceptions.

What would happen if we just let them all in ? Just open the border. Now they only bring themselves What if they could bring grandma , grandpa, spouse, sons, daughters, etc , etc . If you made it easier to get in america would fill up a lot faster . We let in a lot per year legally and they still keep coming . All the have is a walk though the desert . Not that hard . Bring water. Give your job away. We do need to MAKE employers stop hiring them . Costs wont go up the crooked hotel owners will just have less to spend. No mint on your pillow . Its for sleeping anywhy not a mansion. you go to the Grand Canyon vacation and brag about the hotel ?????

So the cost of the room will almost double if the maid gets $1.00 an hour more to claen rooms. Since it takes less than 15 min. to clean a room where does the other $34.25 go?

Maintenance men, grounds keepers, those that deliver the goods & services that motels (et al) indirectly need to operate their businesses. It's all one long chain, baby, and everyone has their hands out. LOL
