On the bright side, all those families won't have to die from black lung or mining accidents at age 15.

The DNC is very happy about the devastating impact Obama's Royal Decree to KILL COAL will have on thousands of working families not only in the Coal Industry but in all of the business who survive based on the spending of those making good wages working in the Industry.
As the middle class in PA, WV, OH and KY morph from working middle class to hopeless Govt dependent Welfare class if will be great for the Democratic Party.
Every study proves that the Welfare Class don't even pay attention to which candidate might best serve their families interests....they just stumble into the polling place and vote for anything with a D beside it's name on a Ballot.

WV,PA,OH, and KY.....courtesy of your "friends"... the Obamacrats.
The only jobs in Southern Illinois are in the coal mines and the truckers. The politicians we have here are outnumbered by the Chicago politicians. We all know Obama will support only Chicago. The only time we see Durbin is when he wants to tell the Mayor in E St. Louis that his area is the worst area in Illinois. Durbin forgets we all know how bad Chicago is which has the highest death rate in Illinois and how nothing is being done to break up the GANGS.

I care enough to help those people find better jobs in a field which won't kill them by age 30 and won't contribute to the destruction of our planet.

Only if done gradually, and NOT used as a catalyst for wealth redistribution. It is another ploy to bring forth a New World Order.

have you SEEN the air pollution in China? is that what you want here?

My sister in-law was there a few years back and one day, outside Beijing, they had to slow to a crawl in their car because the air pollution was as thick as fog and they could barely see.

google pictures of their pollution problem and you will see this is true.

It will be interesting. USA burns 1 billion tons of the 8 billion tons burned each year. We need to reduce that as much as is reasonable. Industry pollution tech has made our 1 billion

Today on CNBC, WV Dem Senator Manchon said that 63% of the entire State of WV revenue comes directly from the Coal Industry. Taking in consideration all the business that survive based on business from the Coal industry employees it reaches almost 80% of total State Revenue.

Of course, POTUS must have a plan to replace the jobs and the revenues. He just hasn't told anyone in the House or the Senate who represent the five States most adversely impacted what that plan may be.

Wrong as usual. Our air HAS changed because of previous clean air regulation; obviously you don't remember the smog in the big cities in the 70's.
We can't do anything about other countries, but we CAN do something here, even if it doesn't completely solve the problem.
It's called global leadership.
I remember, but now they have flooded LA with so many illegals that the smog is coming back because of constant gridlock. Plus, I don't want to hear about saving the planet by someone that fly's all over the place constantly burning big oil fumes.

Since Barack Obama is doing the bidding of his Silicon Valley buddies, I suggest we send the unemployed miners to California. Maybe they replace the HB1 Visa types Google wants to bring in.
