<quoted text>Driving and energy to power your workplace aren't the only benefits of fossil fuel, it also moves your goods to and from market, cools your home in summer and warms it in winter. If solar, wind and biofuel could work without subsidy and mandate, you wouldn't need to waste taxpayers and consumers money on the left's backward energy schemes.
And if the true cost of coal & oil & gas were reflected at the cash register, people wouldn't be able to afford it either.

The only thing preventing us from using renewable energy for all our needs is the oil/coal/gas barons and the monopoly on energy production they get courtesy of the toadies they pay off in Congress and state legislatures.

The sheeple are going to get what they deserve- a wrecked economy, darkness, and no heat/cooling. It's only a matter of when.

The true cost is paid by the consumer, whether it's fossil fuel or renewables. Dead rivers, chopped birds and the dark shadow under solar panels are side effects of large scale energy production too.

How are you prevented from using renewable energy? Economic reality defines prices; the government isn't rich enough to subsidize your green energy use. Fossil fuel energy production and use is so profitable, the government takes the largest slice. Using our fuel spending to protect our interests doesn't just help barons, every consumer shares in the development and production of oil, gas and coal.

Right, high taxes, intrusive regulations and wasteful government spending wreck economies; fossil fuel production not so much.

Nope, if people paid the true cost of oil & gas from environmental damage & war costs etc, it would be $50/gal or more at the pump. And you wouldn't be able to buy a lump of coal for less than $1000.

Yes, the sheeple will share in the destruction of our economy & society when it eventually collapses due to our addiction to fossil fuels. I'll simply laugh and say I told you so.

No, the more expensive fossil fuel becomes, the more incentive to increase production. That's supply and demand.

W.T.S. makes a good point about the value of the dollar, Quantitative Easing is creating a market bubble.

Yet, economies and societies thrive on fossil fueled production; prosperity means using energy and fuel. I've never seen anybody have a fossil fuel OD, and I've been to the Middle East and Texas.

I recommend investing in fossil fuel production as a hedge against the dollar and euro.

Actually I invest in many oil, gas, & coal companies, and use the profits to prepare for the coming collapse of society & our economy due to our addiction to fossil fuels.

Very soon fossil fuel production won't be able to keep up with the growing demand, especially now that the billions of Chinese & Indians are just now starting to consume energy at the level Americans are.

The pumps will run dry soon, and the lights will go out.

Be prepared.

Does that make W.T.S. a moral leader or a hypocrite?

This happens over and over, as demand grows prices increase and more producers take advantage of high prices by increasing supply.

I don't think W.T.S. believes in capitalism.

This, despite the evidence we've never run out of a mineral resource in all our history.

Normally, when the well runs dry you just drill deeper until they fill.
