These new power plant emission restrictions are about carbon dioxide, not safety or work regulations. They make energy and fuel more expensive, harming the poor. They take resources from feeding people and burn them for energy we could easily provide with our own natural fossil fuel resources. We're not talking about child labor, we're talking about greenhouse gas. You decide which is important.

Down with green and conservation; I want an energy policy that encourages the production and use of energy and fuel.

And to hell with the environment or the people right?

Why don't we go back to heating with coal & wood; then the poor would have all sorts of jobs shoveling coal, stacking firewood, sweeping chimneys, scrubbing every building in every city due to black soot everywhere......

Oh yeah, fossil fuels are an EXCELLENT way to keep the poor occupied; at least until they all die from black lung disease or emphysema or asthma etc, etc.

I've already decided the environment is more important than having cheap fossil fuels. Without a healthy environment the people, animals, and plants all die.

What's to prevent you from working?
Walk, bike, or take the bus to work.
Just don't bitch about the price of gas when you choose to live 50+ miles from where you live.
Actually most days I walk to work about 30 feet but if not I have to drive and/or fly. I guess I could sit on my butt and do nothing but collect money from the tax payers like you do but I have pride and unlike you I like to contribute to society rather than live off of others.

Yes, eliminate all subsidies for any fossil fuels.
Maybe that would get people demanding their electric company get their electricity from renewable resources instead.
Nothing motivates the sheeple like a little pain & suffering.
Typical. As long as YOU do not have any pain or suffering and the pain and suffering of others benefits you then it is a good thing. Sounds just like our rulers in Washington. Reducing wages and increasing prices and profits by importing workers may create pain and suffering for working Americans but for politicians, corporations and people like you living on the government dole there is nothing but good that can come from exploiting the working class. Increase energy prices and profits by squeezing the middle class in the name of environmental protection while none of the restrictions or price increase impact you. Let’s get China to use their dirty energy made with electric from coal fired plants that have no expensive pollution control using coal that is mined by people paid slave wages and at the cost of thousands of lives a year to make solar panels from toxic materials. They then ship them to the U.S. and we buy them so they can produce “clean’ energy at four times the cost of energy produce by coal in power plants that have air pollution control using coal from sources that provide a safe working environment and pay a living wage.
Perhaps if people like you, our president and most of our congress had actually worked at a real job at some point in their lives rather than living off of the taxpayer all of their life they would understand that the lives and opinions of others are also important.

That's why we should be making all the solar panels, wind turbines, and related infrastructure here in America instead of importing it from China & elsewhere.

But instead the sheeple just continue to demand cheap gas and cheap electricity today and ignore what's coming down the road.

I CHOOSE to live in a manner in which higher gas & electricity prices don't affect me as much. The sheeple CHOOSE to do the opposite. Sucks to be them.

If we make them here they will cost three to four times as much due to our tax, environmental and labor laws even with the billions in subsidies already given to the solar industry. That is the point. The same people who cry for “alternative energy” are the same people that have forced all of the industries vital to development of these technologies out of the country.
The raw materials required are not mined and produced here because our environment and labor laws make too difficult and expensive. The end products required are not built here for the same reasons. While some of the technology is developed here even that is being outsourced as much as possible.
It is ironic how large corporations and the government have brain washed so many liberals into doing exactly what they want.
I am sure that Exxon will be crying rivers if fuel prices increase.
