I just read the article about Schummer and Mc Cain discussing reform. But the questions asked reflected the Nationals in Boston. How did they become citizens in 5 year's? One of the questions? Was there a background check? No, had there been one, the elder Brother had been flagged in Russia for sending out radical tweet's to his radical friends. How can we ever know who is here? Those are just some of the questions that Boston terrorist's have brought to the immigration debate. We can only hope someone with common sense in Washington will prevail. People aren't in the white heat they were in two weeks ago to get the bill on the floor.

" Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida argued this morning on "This Week" that a key provision of the bill, the so-called "pathway to citizenship" for undocumented immigrants, would not give anything away".

Sure it does Senator, it gives or sells our American citizenship to 11 million illegal aliens that broke our Immigration Laws to get here!

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

It's sad when some politicians and segments of our population want to degrade ourAmerican Citizenship to the point where it has no value or meaning.

"This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forward another amnestybill like this."

You say "11 million that broke our Immigration Laws" but I would say "11 million people that were allowed by USA to get, live and work here". It's human nature to always choose a path to an easier life and this is what these people have done.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

People that win the Green Card Lottery are given Green Card before even being in the USA, knowing English and US culture and 5 years later they can become citizens. Is that to you less degrading than giving citizenship to people that have been here for years and have to wait for it another 13 years ?

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Just because Senator Kennedy was not right it doesn't mean it won't happen this time.

At least they have respected us by following whatever laws required. The other group can wait forever a far as I'm concerned! Just because they have squatted undetected for a number of years, and feel American in "every way," is not someone I want as part of US! We owe illegal aliens nothing!!!!

You are stuck in ideology here. Now it's a different time and an immigration reform is vital now. Already the border is much more secure than in 1986 and also the technology available right now would make EVerify implementation way easier than would have been 27 years ago.

Nothing in these proposals makes any sense because McCain and Schumer rarely make sense. They laugh as they undermine our country. Their plan is totally impossible to implement. But they have the backing of every slave loving employer and every vote buying Democrat as well as the media, so it's up the American people to fight this and save the country. Politicians are only concerned with themselves and their money suppliers.

So what would be a positive approach to solve this problem?

First of all, slow down. Every time they rush a bill through we come up with a terrible piece of legislation. Before they even consider overhauling our immigration system they should bring the SAVE act up for a vote. Nobody believes these jokers are serious about enforcement so passing something like that, which includes implementation of a mandatory Everify system, would at least give the American people some hope for enforcement. Just saying they are going to enforce immigration law isn't good enough. They said that for every other amnesty and it was never true. This is the same method with the same empty promises they used for every other amnesty. Anyone who believes what these people are saying must be either crazy or way too gullible. I can think of a lot of harsher words to describe the believers but I'm trying to be nice.

I said "positive" approach and that means something that would be against the human rights.

They are coming up with the justification for amnesty by saying that it would "register" all illegal aliens and we would know who is here!!!

They give us soooo much dukey! Stop and think! How do they know they have registered all illegal aliens?!!! What will the do with the ones who didn't register and are just lurking around? We know you won't deport them!!! numbersusa.com
