Illegal Immigration upsets the balance of Legal Immigration. Would we have really let 6.3 Million Mexicans enter our country legally over the past 27 years? The answer is no and therein lies the problem.

Yet we continue to allow in over 900,000 Legal Immigrants a year which upsets the control of our population which currently stands at 315 Million people. You factor in the "Chain Migration" act and our population will almost double by 2050 or sooner. The end result would be the United States will become just another third world country

" Republican Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida argued this morning on "This Week" that a key provision of the bill, the so-called "pathway to citizenship" for undocumented immigrants, would not give anything away".

Sure it does Senator, it gives or sells our American citizenship to 11 million illegal aliens that broke our Immigration Laws to get here!

It's sad when some politicians and segments of our population want to degrade our American Citizenship to the point where it has no value or meaning.

"This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forward another amnesty bill like this."

-- Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy on the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.

"The agreement we just reached is the best possible chance we will have in. years to secure our borders, bring millions of people out of the shadows and. into the sunshine of America".

May 17, 2007.

Ted Kennedy -- Senator from Massachusetts.
Member of the Democratic Party.

Barr is on the right track but he's on the wrong train. He favors physically controlling the border over everify. Short of bringing every troop home and putting them on our borders, we'll never secure our border. The better way is to remove the magnets that bring illegals here. That would include jobs, housing and government assistance. Everify could be used to obtain that objective. He classifies everify as something akin to a national ID card which will deprive people of their privacy and liberty. I don't know what Barr thinks he's preserving. Our government already knows everything about us. They are watching the internet, phone calls, the library books you read, the political affiliations you have etc. They use the NSA, Justice Dept, the Obamacare bureaucracy and IRS to mine data. They already have the ability to find out whatever they want to know about anyone. Everify would help the American worker and economy more than it would trample on any imaginary freedoms Barr thinks we have. It's also the first step we need to take if we ever want to have a credible immigration system. Amnesty supporters make no sense whatsoever. They say our system is broken but we do nothing to enforce our current immigration laws. In fact, our justice dept. is actively trying to prevent states from enforcing federal immigration laws. It's like having a car and saying it doesn't work without even starting it.

In the interest of safety, we should stop granting birthright citizenship to children of illegal aliens that are born in the US. This practice is encouraging thousands of plump ones to try swimming the Rio Grande. One border patrol agent described observing what looked like "20 beach balls bobbing their way toward US soil".
