considering the state of the economy they should just make them all legal and taxe the shit out of them . they shouldn't mind we pay all there hospital bills and for there kids to go to school also the single women who get state help
Making them legal would end up with them costing us MORE.

Why? You might ask...well, let me tell you...

If we legalize illegals and they began to pay taxes and use services like legal immigrants with the same level of education, the cost would go through the roof. An unskilled illegal immigrant is costly but an unskilled legal immigrant is a fiscal disaster because, although presumably he is being paid on the books and he pays his taxes like heís supposed to, he is now eligible for pretty much everything (assistance), but he still doesn't make any money.

Thatís the problem. The reason immigrants create a fiscal cost is not because they are illegal. They create a fiscal cost because they have very little education and people with very little education donít pay much in taxes, because they donít make very much. But they tend to use a lot in services. If we legalize them, it makes the problem much worse.

Think about this: every unskilled worker whoís paid on the books gets our Earned Income Tax Credit. That means that every unskilled worker comes with a bill. Thatís one of the reasons the costs explode so much if you legalize illegal immigrants. Right now, let's estimate that illegals are getting one-tenth of what they would be entitled to (if they were legal) but if they began to get the EIT fee like legal immigrants, with the same level of education, well, the costs would go up 10 fold. Thatís a welfare program thatís very expensive.

Who gives a big rat's arse? They get a hearing and they get to go home. Nowhere in there did I read they have the "right" to break our immigration laws or reside here illegally, much less work illegally, drive illegally, and so on. Do you read that the Constitution gives anyone those rights? If you do, please let me know. I'm sure many citizens who have had to suffer the consequences of their law breaking and would love to be released from their punishments.

You're a wack job. That is not a lie. There have been thousands of lawsuits filed against Sheriff Joe and he's won the majority of them. Just because he has current lawsuits pending it's a lie that he's won others? How so? You're just an idiot.
Between 2004 and 2007, 2,700 lawsuits were filed against Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Federal and County Courts 50 times the number of New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Houston combined.[Phoenix New Times, 6/10/08 and 12/7/07]

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff Joe Arpaio won another jury case yesterday, making this the 7th straight jury verdict which found in favor of the Sheriff's Office in recent months.
Manning has sued the Sheriff's Office numerous times and recently lost a $16 million lawsuit against the Sheriff. He is now suing the Phoenix Police Department for $8 million in the case of Carol Gotbaum, the New York woman who died while in police custody at Sky Harbor Airport last September.

Now, the second paragraph -- does that sound like an illegal to you? A New York woman is not an illegal. So, again, it is not a lie that many of the lawsuits filed end up being due to injustices (or perceived injustices) allegedly committed against citizens.

LMAO! You just continue proving your ignorance. It is not xenophobic to enforce the laws. Get a life.
Do us a favor and stop talking about the Constitution. Either you never read it or your reading comprehension is so poor that you can't grasp its most basic principles. Not to mention, you clearly don't follow judicial current events or you'd know that all your talking points on civil rights have been disproved in a court of law. By the way, Arapaio is being investigated by Congress. Who said anything about law suits?

This post was ripped off, without citation, from a Front Page Magazine article "The $64 Billion Question", April 11th, 2006... when Bill Steigerwald interviewed Steve Camarota (Director of Research at the Center for Immigration Studies) by telephone.
The entirety of the text by "Rebel" is cut and pasted from that article.
You should be ashamed.
