Mexico continued to be the leading source country of unauthorized
immigration to the United States (see Table 3).

There were 6.6 million
unauthorized immigrants from Mexico in 2010, representing 62 percent
of the unauthorized population.

The next leading source countries
for unauthorized immigrants in 2010 were El Salvador
(620,000), Guatemala (520,000), Honduras (330,000), and the
Philippines (280,000).

The ten leading
countries of origin represented 86 percent
of the unauthorized immigrant
population in 2010.

The number of Mexican-born unauthorized
immigrants increased by 2.3
million between 2000 and 2007 and
decreased by 340,000 between 2007
and 2010.

Changes in the unauthorized
population were much smaller
during either period for other leading
source countries.

My comment is: ILLEGAL aliens are called ILLEGAL because they're here ILLEGALLY!!!
SUPPORT THEM??? WTF kind of stupid are you people? SEND THEM HOME. IMMEDIATELY. There is a perfectly LEGAL way to immigrate, and giving support to people BREAKING THE LAW and then whining that the system is unfair is retarded.

I work with the refugees at the Artesia detainment center. These women are not undocumented American Citizens. These women and children are refugees, and they are legally in the United States. These families are winning cases for asylum and being set free because they go before a judge who determines if they have credible case for entry or deportation. These families are not illegal by any means.

These immigrants are a slap I the face for all those immigrants who applied legally and waited to come here legally. Sooner or later, there will be more recipient than providers, and the ountry will fall. We can't keep running up debt without someone wanting to cash at some point.

It's amusing to look at all the asinine comments and accusations of racism when people want our border enforced.
I happen to work with a Honduran man who recently received his citizenship.
I don't know his whole story, but I can tell you this.
He didn't piss and moan about it taking too long, or being too difficult, or whining others are racist and just picking on him because his skin is brown.
What he did do is bust his ass and learn his profession well and now enjoys an income in excess of 200k per year.
For this, he has mine, and his other co-workers utmost respect. If others who wanted to migrate to this country and put in the real WORK that it demands, instead of waving silly signs and expecting certain exemptions because of their skin color, they would encounter a much more welcoming nation.

The Army of course has translators and many poor immigrant are part of the army so translator is not necessary. But the bulk of the Army is not bi or trilingual. In Fallujah was typical for soldiers to kill civilians based on "miscommunication" and the "hand waiving" language meant different things to the Iraquies than to the Brits or American. In Vietnam, you needed the local for translation. In 1898, in the Philippines, you also needed translator. On average, your soldiers are deployed to fast to place they can't even adjust to the local culture (Ethiopia, etc.). The Army tries to have personnel living in areas where they may be deployed like the African Command in Africa or the Southern Command in Latin America, etc. so they are more informed of local customs and languages.
Omg!!!!! Get real!!! This isnt anything to do with or about war, army, ect.... it about what is happening inside of America and American culture being torn!!!!

The DHS is low-balling the figures to make them more politically palatable. Just a few yrs ago the phrase was "12 to 20 million illegal immigrants" -- now that we're in a mini-depression and there's backlash from even union Democrats like me because these scabs are stealing my f**king work, they say "11 million."

If you include the 12 to 20 million wetbacks & their anchor "citizen" children who will go back home to Mexico the second the free sh*t and goodies dry up -- there are over 30 million.

And pretending to take the high road doesn't answer the questions about why illegal aliens are detrimental to the country and a net drain on the public budget.

Of course that ignores the obvious issue -- why do we even need to reform immigration? The system already works fine. If these people wanna come here -- go back to Mexico or Central America, get in line, apply and pay the fees and taxes and lawyer costs and everything else just like every other legal immigrant.

And even then -- its time for a LEGAL immigration moratorium as well. We have a million LEGAL immigrants a year or there abouts and close to half end up on welfare, if not more.

And if they aren't on welfare, their brats are.

You of course realize that we're opening the floodgates by lowering the threshold for refugee or asylum status don't you? Even if somebody is a refugee -- Mexico is the most obese nation on earth -- let them seek refugee status and work/live there. Why do they have to come here?

The other week they made it legal to where now battered wives qualify for refugee status. If a woman is a victim of domestic violence & the cops "can't or won't do anything" in her native country -- that qualifies now for asylum:

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/08/30/us/victim-o...

Do you have any clue how much lunacy this is? This will qualify THE ENTIRE MUSLIM WORLD. The latino illegal alien lobby thinks its clever by figuring out ways of bringin in these wetbacks and their Central American amigos. The issue is -- if we let them - why not others? Where does it stop? Why have a border at all? Why have a CBP? Why have a Border Patrol? Disband em and send em home.

Why not right? Why have an immigration system at all? Why not let in any swinging d*ck who wants to get in....

Won't be long before China does what Castro did -- starts offloading tens of millions from its prisons and mental hospitals. I'm sure they'd appreciate us taking their entire penal and mental health expenses off their annual budget....and tacking it onto ours....

That's the thing about squat 3rd world manual labor -- there's nothing special about it. All these Guatemalans and Hondurans coming here -- they take jobs that I WILL DO. I have cleaned toilets & mopped floors and cooked food and washed dishes. Did it all within the last 5 years brudda.

And I'm white my friend....

But if Mexicans think there's something special about them -- if we get rid of CBP and USCIS -- wait til the hordes of Chinese, Indian & African laborers start coming over -- and drive wages down to nothing....

Yeah, yeah, yeah. The illegals are already here and more will come. All you can do is whine and moan with predictions of impending doom. "They're taking our jobs! They're committing crimes! They're taking our welfare!" Truth is, you won't do a thing.
