the only thing that needs to be done about illegal immigration is to enforce all laws as they stand. going after all who help them stay in the country and never let up.

when an illegal alien gets infront of a camera bragging about being here illegally right there on the show should show him getting locked up then deported. never a reason to let any illegal aliens wander free in the USA.

There is something seriously wrong with those that gleefully wish for America to fail, just so that the President can be humiliated. Sad. You would never see that type of perversity in Mexico.

Barletta has stay in front of this. He and the all other anti-amnesty legislators are waking up. Tom in Cali. If they won't enforce our laws now, at least they can improve them and hopefully stop the pro amnesty crowd from getting a foot hold. We'd love to have the laws enforced. We've been writing to our law makers and voting to prevent amnesty and nothing works. When one of these guys come around I always send them a Thank you, keep up the good work e-mail. I don't know if they ever read them. But I hope so.

all our calling faxing and letter do not have much of an effect do to what i see as the forcing of the nau. some cry it is a nutty conspiracy and that is what lets it keep going. if the citizens of the USA would just open their eyes they would see it.

our gov pays illegal aliens to come here,no enforcing of our laws,we are robbed to support them,we are even building up the souths economy at the cost of jobs of citizens here.

Bartlett's downfall is assured if he support mandatory e-verify. Everyone from pro-immigration folk to big business oppose the mandatory use of e-verify. Clearly, this is the united opposition of people that generally oppose each other.

His only support is the shrill-voiced, tiny minority of paranoid, nativists and xenophobes. They are of no consequence.

Those who oppose the use of e-verify are anti-American traitors. We have immigration laws and a part of them are denying illegal aliens to work in this country. E-verify sorts out the lawful workers from the unauthorized ones. Why would anyone who loves this country be opposed to that? Business? Hmm, no agenda there to fatten their wallets using illegal workers, right? Ethnocentric racist Hispanics who think their ethnic group should be above our immigration laws. Hmm, no agenda there, right?

It is isn't paranoia, nativist or xenophobic to support our immigration laws. If so, then Mexico is the same and so is every other country in the world since they also have immigration laws. Funny, how you and yours only demonize the USA though.

You are right. We have few choices left. We do subsidize all the Company's using illegals. I watched today as Detroit, the greatest industrial city in the world at one time, slip into chapter 9. As I watched this happen and read comment's written by pensioneers talk about losing their pensions, I thought about the millions of dollars we pay out to subsidize greedy crooks in this Country, subsidize illegals with our money, and yet we couldn't save this American City from bankruptsy.. What is wrong with this Country? America is beginning to look like a lost cause. I feel sorry for my Grand kids.

Obama has a stupid healthcare bill and every Republican agrees with that. It's about time they start using their heads and realize this amnesty bill is as bad if not worse than Obamacare. If they want to keep following people like McCain and GWB they will surely get their butts kicked again. Hillary is weak but if they put some amnesty supporting neocon buffoon against her, schools out.

I so agree with everything you have said. Now they want to add insult to injury by allowing these millions of illegals to remain here via an amnesty that will continue to compete for jobs at low wages. These low wage earners will continue to be a fiscal burden to us also with their large families and placing huge demands and strains on our social infrastructures. If these illegals were deported or encouraged to leave via e-verify there would be less labor in the workforce to choose from. Wages would go up and Americans would go back to work. You're right! What is wrong with this country and those who are running it?
