If it wasn't intended, genius, why did the BATF allow suspicious straw purchases over the objections of the gun dealers and then not even try to track the weapons? It was a gun control operation, pure and simple and they shot themselves in the foot in the process and many people died. Under Bush the BATF made a serious effort to track the weapons and when their methods failed, they closed down the operation.
You're correct !

President Obama, and Attorney General Eric Holder are both getting a pass on " Fast and Furious " by the left wing media.

Write on the blackboard five hundred times. Semi auto assault style weapons are not automatic weapons. If in doubt, re-read.
You can call them whatever you like, when a rifle is capable of killing or injuring 80 people in less than 60 seconds in a movie theater, call it ‘full’ call it ‘semi’— it's semantics and a mere technicality!!!

Murder is already a capital crime, punishable by death. What kind of gun I choose is my business. Not everyone with a high capacity semi automatic gun is a criminal, or have criminal intent.

Not only is 2nd Amendment for the people's right to bear arms, it's also there to keep a totalitarian tyrant from running roughshod over the citizenry.

It is healthy for the government to be a little skittish of the average citizen, the founding fathers knew this, and that is why the constitution is written as it is. That's why the 2nd Amendment was put in place.

The right of peaceful protest would go the way of the wind, unless it was approved by the government.

These gun grabbers want to " Fundamentally Change " our government, which means trashing the US Constitution, and installing a system similar to China's government.

Think about this, do any of us REALLY WANT THIS ?

Wrong (as usual) there are s-p-e-c-i-f-i-c guidelines in how weapons are classified. Legally owning an automatic weapon takes $300 (or more) and an extensive background check by the BATF-E (and possibly the FBI). ANY conviction or accusation of a crime (esp. domestic violence) and your class 3 permit (to own an automatic weapon) will cause you to lose your permit. Possession of a full-auto weapon WITHOUT a class 3 license earns you federal prison time. Your personal opinion is therefore incorrect. Kindly know what you're talking about- it'll make posts to educate you unneeded.

Your missing the point entirely moron! I'm sure your point is well taken by all the families that just buried their murdered children! Like I've said so many times before, no one is going to keep you from toying around with autos or semis just as long as you keep them in a locker at the rifle range - those kids would be alive today, but you don’t care about do you?!!!!

Could it not be said that the second amendment has already be desecrated? Putting any restrictions on "the right to bear arms" is an infringement. People, wake up. If we become an unarmed nation, don't you think countries like China and Russia will be at our door step? I know the argument, "that will never happen", your a loon, etc. Right now the argument is about the neighbor next door with a gun. Keep fighting among ourselves while the wolves are watching.

Problem is, no one, except the NRA and those that let the NRA do their thinking, is talking about disarming the public. Regulating deadly tools or substances has nothing to do with the 2nd amendment and it is clearly the Govt’s duty to protect its citizenry!

The people who wrote the Constitution lived in a small rural country, huddled along the Eastern Seaboard with a population of 3.5 Million — a large part of which was financed by slave labor ... many of them believed that it was okay to own other human beings. Almost all of them believed that women should have no role in public affairs. Almost all of them believed people without property have no role in public affairs and no right to cast a vote. Why on earth would anybody think that their decisions ought to bind us now being that huge country with a population of 315 Million? So whenever we discuss something like gun control or national healthcare, before you know it, we're off and running on a completely irrelevant conversation about what people thought 250 years ago, instead of addressing the real problem.

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. The inability among the gun totting crowed to learn facts and skills and apply them is spectacular! Besides, even with the assault rifle ban these fanatics still can play with their deadly toys as long as they store it in a locker at the shooting range.

My friend, you can KMA. If you knew what you were talking about, then people wouldn't have to waste their time straightening you out and this conversation could go forward. It is of no consequence to the remaining victims of Sandy Hook what classification of weapon was used. YOU seem to be the only one stuck in that rut and on "stoopid". It's also very demeaning of you to assume that you can speak as if you know their minds. Of the two of us, only one is a moron and I am the one who knows what you are talking about- therefore the moron is y-o-u.

If you think for one minute Democrats won't confiscate your guns if they get a chance you are nuts. They have private police, and secret service. They don't need guns. They have wanted an excuse to disarm Americans for decades. Why do you think gun sales go up when a Democrat is elected President? Because even before they have been sworn in, they start talking about gun control. I don't know what they are afraid of, but they want America disarmed.

Paragraph 3 of the link below, explains why the left is so intense in it's desire to disarm the American citizens, and abolish the 2nd Amendment.

Nope. I know the U.N. cannot enforce laws in America or take anyone's guns away here, so that's all I really NEED to know.
