Charles Krauthammer: From king of the world to dead in the water

May 5, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Kennebec Journal

Fate is fickle, power cyclical, and nothing is new under the sun. Especially in Washington, where after every election the losing party is sagely instructed to confess sin, rend garments and rethink its principles lest it go the way of the Whigs.

Gosh, There goes the whole thing.

Actually, it dies with the title:

From king of the world <NOT TRUE> to dead in the water <NOT TRUE>

Those who can, do. Those who cannot, heckle from the back of the crowd..

Barack Obama has the mandate of the majority, just as Bush did during his two terms. But certainly nobody said that Bush was a 'lame duck' president. I guess the Liberal side is just more civilized and less inclined to indulge in 'woe is me' pitying that the other guy won.

The Conservatives must think that they are the 'good guys' and that any loss means that the other guy is either cheating or has a fake victory.

When will they wake up and smell the coffee??
