Remember when Air Force One came out during Clinton's rein, and he likened himself to Harrison Ford? Now Obama is likening himself to the black President in the new movie.

This country doesn't need 2 Democrat parties. If the Republicans are just like the Democrats we might just as well all vote Democrat.

WRONG - the GOP wants the Dems to STOP GIVING AMERICA AWAY. You have a president that has no idea what it is like to fight for FREEDOM for America or even care. He gives billions away to foreign countries and including Africa who are rich with diamond mines while the America poor go hungry. Most of you have no idea what the help is even going on - your main concern is all the freebees phones you can get and let the working tax payer pay for it. How many illegal aliens have been here waiting over a year for their citizenship - how do you think they feel 0h- of yea you do not care. If you come into America the legal way then I am all for you getting your citizenship - if you want to sneak in like a thief in the night - stay home.

NAFTA?

Created by the GOP.

"Free" trade deals with Panama, Columbia and Venezuela.

Created by the GOP.

Now that Indiana has sold its toll road, get ready for everyone else to do the same.

On Monday, Governor Mitch Daniels said a Spanish-Australian consortium had bid $3.85 billion to run the Indiana Toll Road, a 157-mile highway across northern Indiana that runs from the Illinois to Ohio, for 75 years.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that Rick Perry wants to try and force the Legislature to continue to give his highway department the authority to sell-off Texas roads to private, foreign toll operators which will charge Texans 75 cents a mile to access PUBLIC roads. This from a so-called conservative who sent out his minions to quash a 10 cent gas tax hike that pales in comparison to $3,000 a YEAR per commuter in NEW toll taxes.

Today, the Governor spoke at the Greater Cleveland Partnership and said, according to the Crain’s Cleveland Business Journal:

Because funds are tight, he said he might find money for incentives to new businesses by privatizing state assets; he used the Ohio Turnpike as, he emphasized, a hypothetical example. He said he could lease the Ohio Turnpike for $3 billion and use most of that money, after repaying $600 million in outstanding turnpike debt, to attract business to Ohio.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty has hinted that his January budget proposal will include proposals to privatize some of what the state owns or does. The Republican is looking for cash to help close a $5.27 billion deficit without raising taxes.

Republican lawmakers are pushing to privatize the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and the state lottery. Both steps require a higher authority — federal legislation in the case of the airport, a voter-approved constitutional amendment for the lottery. But one lawmaker estimated an airport deal could bring in at least $2.5 billion, and the lottery $500 million.

Following diplomatic negotiations dating back to 1986 among the three nations, the leaders met in San Antonio, Texas, on December 17, 1992, to sign NAFTA. U.S. President George H. W. BUSH, Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and Mexican President Carlos Salinas, each responsible for spearheading and promoting the agreement, ceremonially signed it. The signed agreement then needed to be ratified by each nation's legislative or parliamentary branch.

BUSH, who had worked to "fast track" the signing prior to the end of his term, ran out of time and had to pass the required ratification and signing into law to incoming president Bill Clinton.

The impetus for NAFTA actually began with President Ronald Reagan, who campaigned on a North American common market. In 1984, Congress passed the Trade and Tariff Act. This is important because it gave the President "fast-track" authority to negotiate free trade agreements, while only allowing Congress the ability to approve or disapprove, not change negotiating points. Canadian Prime Minister Mulroney agreed with Reagan to begin negotiations for the Canada-U.S. Free Trade Agreement, which was signed in 1988, went into effect in 1989 and is now suspended due to NAFTA.(Source: NaFina, NAFTA Timeline)

1984?
