Jim Jones and the democratic party
The move of Peoples Temple headquarters to San Francisco in 1975 invigorated Jones' political career. After the Temple served an important role in the mayoral election victory of George Moscone in 1975, Moscone appointed Jones as the Chairman of the San Francisco Housing Authority Commission.[43]
Unlike most other figures deemed as cult leaders, Jones was able to gain public support and contact with prominent local and national United States politicians. For example, Jones and Moscone met privately with vice presidential candidate Walter Mondale on his campaign plane days before the 1976 election and Mondale publicly praised the Temple.[44][45] First Lady Rosalynn Carter also personally met with Jones on multiple occasions, corresponded with him about Cuba, and spoke with him at the grand opening of the San Francisco DEMOCRATIC Party Headquarters where Jones garnered louder applause than Mrs. Carter.[44][46][47]
In September 1977, Willie Brown served as master of ceremonies at a large testimonial dinner for Jones attended by Governor Jerry Brown and Lieutenant Governor Mervyn Dymally and other political figures.[48] At that dinner, while introducing Jones, Willie Brown stated "Let me present to you what you should see every day when you look in the mirror in the early morning hours.... Let me present to you a combination of Martin King, Angela Davis, Albert Einstein... Chairman Mao."[49] Harvey Milk, who spoke at political rallies at the Temple,[50] wrote to Jones after a visit to the Temple: "Rev Jim, It may take me many a day to come back down from the high that I reach today. I found something dear today. I found a sense of being that makes up for all the hours and energy placed in a fight. I found what you wanted me to find. I shall be back. For I can never leave."[51][52]
In his San Francisco Temple apartment, Jones hosted San Francisco radical political figures such as Angela Davis for discussions.[53] He spoke with friend and San Francisco Sun-Reporter publisher Dr. Carlton Goodlett about Jones' remorse regarding not being able to travel to socialist countries such as People's Republic of China and the Soviet Union, speculating that he could be Chief Dairyman of the Soviet Union.[54] After his criticisms caused increased tensions with the Nation of Islam, Jones spoke at a huge rally healing the rift between the two groups in the Los Angeles Convention Center attended by many of Jones' closest political acquaintances.[55]
While Jones forged media alliances with key columnists and others at the San Francisco Chronicle and other media outlets,[56] the move to San Francisco also brought increasing media scrutiny. After Chronicle reporter Marshall Kilduff encountered resistance to publishing an exposť, he brought his story to New West Magazine.[57]...

I think we should outlaw the Democrats to Mexico. You could start the communist state of Mexico without alot of pushback, since your entire existence relies on weakness and ignorance.

The constitution give Congress the power to regulate commerce. If congress wants to apply rules to the sales of merchandise, they have that power.

WRONG:

"The Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms shall NOT be infringed".

That means in NO way, shape, or form can that specific right be encroached upon. They were EXPRESSLY DENIED the "power". Not only under the 2nd amendment, but under the 9th, 10th, and 15th amendments as well.

Now get back in the kool-aid line.

You can keep arms and you can bear arms but if you want to buy, sell or trade arms, that is commerce and congress has the authority to regulate commerce.

Do you comprehend ENGLISH, kool-aid drinker?

"The Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms shall NOT be infringed".

They are NOT permitted to do ANY such thing. Conversely, they are EXPLICITLY FORBIDDEN from doing ANY such thing.

""An amendment of the constitution is of still higher authority, for it has the effect of controlling and repealing the express provisions of the constitution authorizing a power to be exercised, by a declaration that it shall not be construed to give such power. 3 Dall 382."

The Democrats stole all those votes to get the President elected, and forgot there are three equal branches of government. They can't get their gun control, their illegal alien immigration, their internet tax, nothing. After 2014 it will be worse, they won't have the Senate or the House.

<quoted text>Based on the real US Constitution
"The right to vote, before this amendment to the constitution, was wholly granted or denied and regulated by the several states of the Union; and now the citizens of these United States have granted and guaranteed by national authority that which before they enjoyed--if enjoyed at all--at the will of the local or state governments. To make available the right to vote to all citizens of the United States without regard to race, color, or previous condition of servitude was the direct purpose of the fifteenth amendment. We cannot see therefore, how legislation which has this purpose directly in view cannot be appropriate because it was not directed against some denial or infringement by general or state legislation. The mode of the assertion of the constitutional right to vote in the fifteenth amendment is not altogether a novel feature in our constitution as has been remarked on a former occasion during the trial of this cause. "The privilege of the writ of habeas corpus shall not be suspended unless, when in cases of rebellion or invasion, the public safety may require it." Section 9, art. 1, par. 2. This clause comprehends the constitutional grant of the writ of habeas corpus under the form of an expression of denial of its suspension except in certain cases. Article 1st of the amendment to the constitution, is in these words: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech; or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." In this article it will be observed that the right to full liberty of religious faith, as regards any attempt to control it by the general government, secured to the citizen by the constitution of the United States, is granted under a form of expression, forbidding congress to make any law "prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" and that the right to a free press and free speech are granted under a form of expression denying their abridgment. So also with the right of the people to assemble and petition the government for a redress of grievances. Article 2d of the amendment is in these words: "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." This constitutional right to keep and bear arms, is thus conferred by the declaration that it shall not be "infringed."--Judge Edward Green Bradford, UNITED STATES v. GIVEN,[17 Int. Rev. Rec. 195.] Circuit Court. D. Delaware. 1873. Civil Rights--Violation BY State Officer--Powers of Congress.

It was years after the massacre in South America, when I saw a show on TV about that clown and remembered him and the building in San Francisco. I lived in Frisco for about a year. Playing in Haight and working where I could get a job, considering it was pretty unionized then. It was fun for awhile, then reality set in and I left.
