Couples split by border hope reform brings relief

Aug 27, 2013 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: Northern Michigan News

As Edgar Falcon and Maricruz Valtierra exchanged vows, they attracted the attention of hundreds of morning commuters Tuesday at the Santa Fe border bridge in El Paso, craning their necks to see the couple standing on the dividing line between the U.S. and Mexico.

You might be surprised to know that most Mexicans don't know about 'Aztlan' or the 'reconquista' the ones that do see it as a running joke, an idea created by fruity liberal college professors in California. No sane Mexican is interested in reclaiming land, they know that their best bet is a strong northern neighbor.
I beleive you are correct on this,

Exclusive: The Truth About 'La Raza'

Quote:

"Behind the respectable front of the National Council of La Raza lies the
real agenda of the La Raza movement, the agenda that led to those thousands
of illegal immigrants in the streets of American cities, waving Mexican
flags, brazenly defying our laws, and demanding concessions.

Key among the secondary organizations is the radical racist group Movimiento
Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan
(MEChA), one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has
permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a
racist nation out of the American West.

One of America's greatest strengths has always been taking in immigrants
from cultures around the world, and assimilating them into our country as
Americans. By being citizens of the U.S. we are Americans first, and only,
in our national loyalties.

This is totally opposed by MEChA for the hordes of illegal immigrants
pouring across our borders, to whom they say:

"Chicano is our identity; it defines who we are as people. It rejects the
notion that we...should assimilate into the Anglo-American melting
pot...Aztlan was the legendary homeland of the Aztecas ... It became
synonymous with the vast territories of the Southwest, brutally stolen from
a Mexican people marginalized and betrayed by the hostile custodians of the
Manifest Destiny." (Statement on University of Oregon MEChA Website, Jan. 3,
2006)

MEChA isn't at all shy about their goals, or their views of other races.
Their founding principles are contained in these words in "El Plan
Espiritual de Aztlan" (The Spiritual Plan for Aztlan):

"In the spirit of a new people that is conscious not only of its proud
historical heritage but also of the brutal gringo invasion of our
territories, we, the Chicano inhabitants and civilizers of the northern land
of Aztlan from whence came our forefathers, reclaiming the land of their
birth and consecrating the determination of our people of the sun, declare
that the call of our blood is our power, our responsibility, and our
inevitable destiny.... Aztlan belongs to those who plant the seeds, water
the fields, and gather the crops and not to the foreign Europeans.... We
are a bronze people with a bronze culture. Before the world, before all of
North America, before all our brothers in the bronze continent, we are a
nation, we are a union of free pueblos, we are Aztlan. For La Raza todo.

Fuera de La Raza nada."

That closing two-sentence motto is chilling to everyone who values equal
rights for all. It says: "For The Race everything. Outside The Race, nothing."

Every one works for a living. There are no freebies, and no blacks.
The residents know each other. They greet each other every morning. There's no fear of being robbed nor assaulted. It's a black-free society.
Is this your way of threatening the black US American citizens? the black commander in chief? he is a part of the black society......hell I don't particularly care for the guy but these are pretty harsh and evil thoughts on your mind. And you call yourself a US citizen? how many more out there like you? you degrade our country, you and you counterparts. Just leave, NOW.

You're focusing on a small group of Anti-US Mexicans. You cannot use them to generalize how the rest of Mexicans are.
How would it be if Mexicans generalized that all Gringos/Whites are like the KKK, like the Nazis, Like modern Fascist, etc....
Do you see what I mean? You shouldn't pick out a small segment of a population and generalize that the rest of the population is the same.
If you want me to do something about them, then I want you to do something about the KKK. Just like you probably can't do anything about the KKK, I can't do anything about these flag burners. And just like I don't generalize that all Whites are the KKK, don't generalize that all Mexicans are flag-burners.
Actually, you made a good point here. But, if we take this a step further, while for the life of me, illegal entry is not a crime, every illegal who has entered without permission has broken a law, and then go on to break many more. There is punishment for those infractions, but it doesn't stop some from bouncing back over and over again. The act of thumbing their noses at our laws has now endeared them to many. They way they demand more and more with more chutzpa than the time before, does not endear them to many. The KKK may have tried a comeback, but they most certainly are not in our faces, as they were in the past. I think they are irrelevant, however, the interloping illegals from all over are. We cannot sustain them and ourselves and continue to strong. We are running out of money. By the way, my family moved to the south because of a job transfer. One time, in all the years I lived here, I saw a KKK memebership drive on the highway when coming home from a trip up north. They handed us their literature, which to me was rather funny, because my hubby is of Mediteranean descent, and certainly does not fit the usual KKK profile. Actually, had it been a few decades earlier, when they were renegades doing their dastardly deeds, they probably would have gone after him in a much different manner. They are irrelevant now, just a few loose cannons with no real base. The point is, there is a lot of hate emanating from Mexicans directed at US citizens, who think we owe them a living and should forgive them for their every transgression.

La Raza wasn't started by Mexicans but by 'chicanos' or Mexican-Americans. It's frankly a bunch of BS, as a group, they have no credibility within the Hispanic communities in the US, but are treated as low-class hoodlums, which they are.

I noticed that I misspelled it, so I corrected it. My keyboard is persnickety, and sometimes doesn't type all the letters, Back to that moment in time, they (the KKK) wanted us to join their disgusting group. They were dressed in their garb, and frankly they gave me the creeps. But still looking back on it, they had to be very desperate for membership, to have given their applications to my husband, who looks Mediterranean, and much more handsome and he has all of his teeth! ;)
