"Senator Edward Kennedy, 1986:

"This amnesty (1986 IRCA) will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again bring forward another amnesty bill like this."

Senator Edward Kennedy, Address, Center for National Policy, Feb. 8, 1996.:

"We should strengthen our immigration laws to prevent the importation of foreign wages and working conditions. We should make it illegal for employers to lay off Americans and then fill their jobs by bringing in workers from overseas. Any U.S. employer who wishes to hire from abroad--even for temporary jobs--should have to recruit U.S. workers first. And we should end the unskilled immigration that competes with young Americans just entering the job market.""

That always happens when trolls pollute these threads. They try to move people away from discussing the issue, and set up flame wars. Most of the time, they make no sense but keep creating personas to compete against each other to take up space between valid posters.

We get enough deflection from this adminsitration, don't we??? I see Rahm wants to up the tax on cigarettes and they want to charge cyclists a $25.00 a year fee. The cyclists are green, you know how they love to go green, and now they want to tax them...insane!!!! Spending out of control as usual!

Things are only going to get worse. With the new healthcare law, I mean "tax". What made DC think they could run anything successfully? It's a real mess and the only way I see that we can reverse some of these bad decisions is by getting career politicians out of office, Democrats and Republicans.

The fee is probably to make up for the lost toll revenues, and parking fees that cyclists don't pay. Not to mention the so-called 'city sticker' or village parking sticker. The government has to make up the revenue somehow. I'm surprised they don't tax folks breathing in air, that's probably next.

Most scum bags come from broken and dysfunctional families, so they wouldn't understand the significance of maintaining the family organization.

To them, broken dysfunctional families is the norm. They don't understand how important it is the have mom and dad in the the same home.
