Not surprisingly, some religious leaders think so by D'Anne Witkowski - Special to the SGN We Gays should have seen it coming, frankly.

CB? No.
Check out Ham Radio, though. We're still around, still learning electronics from each other, and whenever stupidity or mother nature kicks out the plug on the networks somewhere, we are usually the first and only communication method with the outside world.
Few of us build radios from scratch with vacuum tubes and solder anymore, but that doesn't mean that there's nothing to do.
A great group of people.
Have Netflix ?
Watch: "Man on a Mission: Richard Garriott's Road to the Stars".
From the International Space Station, Richard talks with other Ham Radio operators back here on Earth ... including the King of Jordan. lol
We've launched and operate a couple of our own satellites in LE orbit.
If you're a ham radio operator, did you connect with anybody who was affected by Sandy while the storm was ongoing ?

Ham radio used to be an expensive hobby, which is one reason I went with CB (I'm notoriously frugal, ya know. And I live in a condo, which prevents me from outside antenna. Or have they made strides in that also?
Indeed we have.

In California?

Even if my equipment weren't already shipped, I would have kept the waves uncluttered for more local traffic.

because it's all imported from china.
Short term cheap stuff and short term stock market gains for a few in exchange for a de-skilled population and no walkaround money.

What a deal!

No. I'll look it up.

Ever see "Frequency" ?

Don't rent it. Jim Caviezel is a RC bigot, so I'll never send another dime his way. Still, it's a delightful flick.
