Federal auditor said USM misused $5.3M in Hurricane Katrina funds

A federal auditor says FEMA should demand the return of $5.3 million of Hurricane Katrina reconstruction money from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Just my personal opinion but this time it should be forgiven because of the hurricane. There was so much insane chaos going on people didn't even know if they were gonna have the college here shut down or not.

There was a lot of talk of shutting down half the coast due to insurance reasons & there's been a modest come back since then.

Considering we waste trillions in Iraq & Afghanistan -- why not let this one pass?
